Australian financial advice?
Have nearly $30,000AUD in a term deposit that matures next week
$7,000AUD in debit account

1) Back into a term deposit? Some of the smaller banks and credit unions are offering up to 3% for a 1 year deposit, that would get around ~$900AUD on a 30k deposit

2) Stock investment/investment firm? I know nothing about this.

3) Gamble? As above.

Do you want yield or capital growth?

Yes, either term deposit or vanguard govt bonds fund.. that also gives about 3-4% very secure

so not stocks?

Personally I kept doing term deposits when they were in the 6%-5% range until I reached 20% of a deposit on a house and then bought that. I don't think the interest rates on term deposits are really worthwhile anymore, not really sure on any other types of investments, but my house has gone up a fair bit in the last couple of years surprisingly which is nice, it's primarily a place to live but any increase is always welcome. In before the bubble pop.

Buy ANZ. I'm up 4% from last week. It's down ~25% from 52 week high. We'll get back there soon enough. Very safe investment, huge bank like that's not going to fail. Also have high dividends. Join me on this journey senpai.

Step 1.

Step 2.
>start watching and reading up on stocks listed on the ASX.

Step 3.
>start trading.

At 3% a year the bank is robbing you.

I've made 100% in the last 3 months alone, and I'm a fucking casual.

Because you don't know the first thing about it m8. Anyway, didn't you start the same thread a week back? You got some pretty good answers the other time. Are you just waiting for validation to gamble and piss away your money?
