Would it be wise to start a few companies that may or may not fail just to get some experience running shit? I don't want to mismanage my dream company and run it into the ground from my lack of experience.

if you want to pioneer new tech, play around with 3D printers and cheap 30$ computers and DIY projects. The app market is already flooded, however its good experience to know how to build one.
