I've studied and played enough that I'm comfortable to begin playing for money online.
Want to start off real small (like $50-$100 deposit) while I learn how people play for cash online. Any good websites where people play? I live in Australia.

Pokerstars

this.
but start with points first and see how you do

I use 888 poker

888 poker is generally soft competition, start there to get a feel for online play

>playing with bots online

Don't play online unless you have a bot.
>>
Fuck poker. You're better off with blackjack or roulette, and using a good betting system. I'm currently having good results with a variation of the martingale method.

Started off practicing with points. I doubled the initial thousand they gave me, so I switched to real money. As long as you're okay with low gains to start, you'll consistently win money.

Also, for those interested, a decent martingale variation for roulette would be betting on 2 of the 3 dozens, and tripling your bet for each loss. Your odds are much better than just picking red/black or odd/ even.

>fuck poker. You're better off with blackjack or roulette
Fucking lel. Poker is the only game with +EV, every single other one gives the house an edge (excluding card counting with Blackjack, but automatic card shufflers make that tactic a no-go)

>he thinks he can beat the house!
Online poker can be profitable, unlike any casino game.
>>
>>1318241
I'm living proof that roulette and blackjack can be profitable. You don't have the large potential profit gain that poker has, but you have a better chance at profiting altogether.
>>
>>1318572
statistics say otherwise you dipshit. you WILL lose money long-term
>>
>>1318572
No. There are no professional blackjack players.
>>
Since Google open sourced tensorflow and said that they now have a super human texas hold em bot, nobody should be playing for money in these games anymore.
>>
>>1318578
That's why I go back and forth between roulette AND blackjack.

Look, I know the statistics. I won't be able to sit at a table for 5 hours and expect much of a profit. But so far I went from a 100 dollar deposit to having doubled it the same night, and has been steadily riding. I started Tuesday night, and by last night, I'm at a little over 1200 dollars. I took some chances using a different roulette betting system, but for the most part, most of my profits were from martingale.

All things considered, the statistics can suck my limp biscuit.

You're not gonna make it, kid.

Math doesn't lie. The house always wins those games in the long run.
>>
>>1316550
Remember it's not easy to make money from online poker in 2016. The best way of winning is to play for fun and if a win happens it happens. But on the other hand I only play MMTs where the variance is huge ass.
>>
>>1318698
Fug. It should be MTT.

>>1318691
For enough. But right now, the only math I see is "plus signs".

"Hey guys I went to the casino and I WON!!!"

It's about the same as crypto bragging threads I guess.
>>
>>1318866
Keep those goalposts in one place, buddy.

It's not about winning or bragging, it's about proving that using a betting system in poker or roulette can be profitable. You can keep shouting the word "statistics!" As much as you please, but its very possible.

>>1318866
crypto gambling?

My casino chips just went up in value 30% in the last month :3
>>
>>1318572
The only way you can play blackjack profitably is by attacking the dealer. (not physically, just game wise) There's a dude who did this and you can look him up, I think Don Juan was his name.

However, because the black swan showed itself, everyone knows what to look for in that regard.

if anything, bots that play GTO perfectly will end up losing. (as long as there's a rake) by playing against perfect GTO bots, they have no edge over each other and reach nash equilibrium.

it's always said that you never play with someone the same skill or better than you, unless you're looking to learn from them. you only play the dumb, easy money, which leads to an exploitative play style.
>>
>>1320020
Ok, if it's about proving a system can beat roulette then present your evidence. And winning once, or even a handful of times is not proof, because it's explained by variance.

Poker is a whole different story, because it's a game of skill.

What site do people use in the US? I read that you need to have an offshore bank account to be able to play here.
