In my cover letter, I mostly emphasise my excel skills. I'm worried I might be grilled on my excel knowledge especially since what I mostly do is just copy stackoverflow code then modify it for what I want.

Any advice?

my cover letter

When companies say intermediate/advanced excel they generally just mean things like vlookup and pivot tables unless they specify otherwise. In an interview you probably won't have to do more than acknowledge that you know what those are and that you can do them. If they give you any sort of test it'll probably be more focused on solving some type of problem than your actual excel skills.

Last sentence on your third paragraph.
>me and my team
Should that be 'my team and I' ?

Yeah I know and the bit where I forgot to write "make me the best candidate":

> I have attached my resume alongside this cover letter to further elaborate on the skills and experiences that would make the candidate for the position

when it should:

> I have attached my resume alongside this cover letter to further elaborate on the skills and experiences that would make me the candidate for the position

Oh well, I already passed the cover letter/resume screening anyways. Now what I need to do is not bomb the interview

I wonder if they actually give a shit about grammar on applications. Within reason.
>>

I reckon they balance grammar mistakes with the strength of the application

If the mistakes are very minor, they will just overlook it I reckon (unless there are loads of applicants for that position)

this. Also emphasising Powerpoint makes you look like a 10th grader.
Put something like vlookup in there instead and watch 2-3 how to's on yt
