Let's say you have $1000 Y and it's 1Y=.7X that's a loss
When 1Y=1.2X =No gain or loss (Keep in mind that there are charges for the conversion)

When 1Y=3X Something is up with X and currency is screwed but profit in the currency wait to it become 1X=2.3Y profit.
