I'm a first year finance student that is doing unpaid shenanigans at a medium sized finance firm (they do other stuff, so IDK if I will be with finance people). I suspect I will be subject to bitch work, office boy shit because I'm a first year that has had no office work previous.
What are some things I should keep in mind like dresscode, etiquette, impressing my superiors so I get paid work etc.
Dress the part. Be professional. Do everything that is asked for you and then some.
Always keep in mind that this isn't a summer placement, this is a few month long interview. Their are 100 other finance students who would sell their mothers for the position you're in, don't forget that.

If I could do school over again, I would choose experience and connecting with people over a stellar GPA. Be a part of clubs and organizations that somewhat pertain to your degree. Keep connecting on social media with people you meet and get along with. Bang the marketing majors because they are easy.
