I actually think movies are a integral part of modern society because it teaches us a lot about different life scenarios.

Before you scoff, take this example: Can you identify what a prison looks like?

You probably can, despite never having been in a prison, or police station. Picture books might teach us a little, but not to the depth that movies have. Expand it to factories, which I also have never been inside, or space stations/satellites which I have never seen in person.

I would say that movies play a HUGE part in unifying society and opening us up to different aspects of life that we would definitely never have seen otherwise.
