That'd never work you won't learn the risk side
Vanguard fund or ETFs. About two thirds doemstic and a third international.
Half your age in fixed income type deal.
Anything you don't drop in those for the long term is funny money that you can piss away all you want.

do dividends are calculated by the number of shares? like they give 1 dollar per shares you have?

Be careful of what you read. Some of it is designed to mislead, while some is just useless.
And prepare to be bent over if you use Robin Hood. The list of shit you can't do with that app goes on and on. Those who shill it seem to forget that having real time quotes is kind of important when you're buying thousands of shares, even if it is just dog shit penny stocks.

I'm using robinhood and I already notice some of the shitty aspects of it. What do you reccomend instead for a beginner?

Unless you have information the market hasn't absorbed yet just buy shares of the S&P 500 and be happy with your 10% (or whatever the market rate of return is)

It really depends on your capital, and what direction and risk you're pursuing.

Investing or Trading?
Gain expected?
