Should I go classic or creative?

creative
The scene in American Psycho is something to take note of. They all know these different fonts, textures, shades of white, etc, but to us, it's just a white card with text printed on it.
The only person who will notice if it's eggshell or not is you. Make it look nice for them, not you

This makes me think about my work too. I'm a perfectionist and i realize almost nobody appreciate the effort I put in my product.

Simplicity commands authority.
It all depends on your business really. I am thinking about this for my small business which does specialist machine cleaning, mostly people wanting old bike and car engines done and a few historic items.
Almost none of the people we deal with are corporate so If we went with a plain card like that it would look stupid, the people we deal with want to see some character.

Business cards are most popular with oldfags.
Therefore, classic.
I think they'll stick around for a good while. Even the Silicon Valley types will feel the pull once they get rich and famous enough to be invited to parties. They'll also get a hankering for suits.
