Hey any of you guys do any business involving Alibaba?
I have this niche instagram page, about 55 followers, growing, and gets good engagement. I recently created a mockup of a design and it seemed likely that many people would purchase it. I also have everyone in my town wanting and asking for one.
Now when I go to Alibaba, for a minimum order of 250 they charge me about 3$ per hat with embroidery, the only thing is how much is shipping going to be?
250 x 3 = 750$ investment
Say about 250$ shipping? for a carton of 250$ boxes. Im very new to this shit but I feel like I can make some quick cash. I have a couple thousands in some account i opened up years ago and I want to have fun with it.
Im gonna sell the caps for 40$ with the free shipping included in the price.
250 x 33$ per hat = 8,250$ about 6,000$ after cost benefit analysis.
1. What costs am I missing here??
2. Am I underestimating shipping costs?
Dont worry about my marketing or selling. Im a social media marketing genius

Are you me?
Try for smaller orders, shop around for other providers, or bite the bullet
I work in importing and wholesale, depends where it is being shipped from... I've never worked with Ali baba, but couldn't you get a shipping quote?
Taxes?
I feel like $40 is priced high, my opinion. I sold hats at my start up at $20, and still got some push back.

this. $40 is kike shit and if i was a follower of yours, not only would i not buy the hat, but i would be significantly less likely to buy anything your page advertised in the future. I think $15-20 is reasonable for poorly made custom hats with a personally meaningful design, assuming of course that I am someone who wears a hat which I am not
