Friend is about to be rich, help not becoming jealous

Just depends on their attitude.

I have one friend whose parents gave him a job at their multimillion dollar company. He constantly brags about the money he is making and the power he has. I'm considering dropping him as a friend. I wouldn't call it "jealousy" but I'm definitely irritated by him.

I have another friend who is 100% humble and just a nice easy going guy. He just made $100k in a real estate deal. I wasn't even slightly jealous. I'm happy for him, and hope he has lots of success.

Just depends on how a person handles it to me.

Was he legitimately qualified or was it nepotism? If the latter, I'd be irritated, too.

What you are experiencing is envy, not jealousy

He's ia early employee in a startup that going very well and about to raise another big round.

Also, he asked me to join the company now. Thing is, I have my own (struggling at the moment) business and I can't just drop it and leave my own partners without anything.
