What does /biz/ think about this in general?
I have no ideas right now, but does anyone have anything to share in terms of stories, successes/failures, things to look out for/pay attention to?
Also looking for resources such as books to read in my free time. My parents have a business, so not everything is foreign to me, but I would appreciate learning more organizational/corporate kind of stuff because my parents work in blue collar as opposed to white collar.
I am majoring in Economics, btw.
As far as capital, I would be able to bring in 5K maybe, but my parents would lend me money if things go well.
I wouldn't be willing to pay people, and thinking about getting 5-10+ people together for 10-20 hours a week to work on/brainstorm business models/plans, to screen for good business partners.
After I get exposure, and the right people I'd look to tackle a market I can work with.
I have lots of experience with Finance & Programming as well.
Worst case scenario, I do some networking and learn stuff.
