...ok
I find it funny how every year they talk about how some movie set a record at the box office
it's not really impressive when it's due to inflation
>>1169112
Star Wars is still the 3rd highest grossing film even adjusting for inflation. Titanic and Avatar are also up there. The infrastructure for movie sales is just a lot more developed than even 30 years ago. It's still interesting that the highest grossing movie of all time (inflation adjusted) is Gone with the Wind, though.
But... what does this all have to do with business and finance? What's the angle here?

Good thing those sources usually adjust for inflation, dipshit?
>>1169130
it flopped at the box office
Wow did Avengers 2 flop hard or what?
So glad capshit is getting wrecked.
>>1169130

Hash Child and read:
"In total, Gone with the Wind has grossed over $390 million globally at the box office; in 2007 Turner Entertainment estimated the gross to be equivalent to approximately $3.3 billion when adjusted for inflation to current prices, while Guinness World Records arrived at a figure of $3.44 billion in 2014, making it the most successful film in cinema history."
most of the movies coming out these days are fucking stupid.
