From what I can tell, I can either sell now for an exact return, have it crash to a bit more than half what I bought, or have it go up and up as time goes on.

I consider losing about half my initial investment to be an acceptable potential loss, considering the possible potential for gains are way larger than double.

I don't think I'll ever see $5 ether again any time soon. But that's just my bullshit opinion.
