All indicators say that this will be the bullest crypto ever created. It is backing a tech that actual companies might use. That's what they said about bitcoin, but this is not trying to replace bitcoin or actual currency. It is the wheels on which their tech innovation will move.

There will be an initial bubble, as predatory crypto investors have their day, like they did with bitcoin. People who say that crypto is not a valid investment or has no bullish outlook need to look at bitcoin. Sure, it dropped substantially after the predators inflated and then popped the bubble, but 430 dollars is a lot higher than 0.10 per bitcoin.
>>
>>1120096
>predators
What the fuck are you talking about? Bitcoin holders did that to themselves.
>>
>>1120096
The issue with Ethereum is that it's smart contract platform can be easily ported to others'. An example is Counterparty (XCP) who successfully recreated it, unfortunately it does not have as big a following as Ethereum does.

what are you talking about? do you have any working mental model of human society in your tiny pea brain?
>>

>mental model of human society
Wot. Oh I see. Disregard my last post. I didnt know you had a mental handicap, I'm sorry.
>>
>>1120166
shut your mouth fag. intelligent people have arrived in this thread, the game is up
>>
>>1120172
Can you direct me to them please? I'm done with talking to you.
>>
>>1120182
kindly fuck off you piece of shit.
>>
>>1120117
>Bitcoin holders did that to themselves.
If you believe that you are either one of the early bitcoiners (the predators) or completely oblivious to how crypto and currency exchanges in general function.

>>1120128
>unfortunately
Who's side are you on, anyway? Ethereum's crowdfunding was 18 million USD, they just got featured in NewScience and Reuters. The hype is real, and hype is going to inflate this bubble. At Homestead release, the tech companies are going to be sucking Ethereum's dick so hard that people are going to be pouring into ETH. They'll buy closer to 20 and think they got in on the ground level when it ends up at over 100.

Wew. /biz/ really is the best board.
>>
>>1120201
>predators
You keep using this word. It does not mean what you think it means.
>>
>>1120216
I know what it means. It means you entered into the sandbox where all the little kids play and abused them. You are a predator. You pulled up to the little kiddies in a van with a bitcoin symbol on it and said, "Hey kids, wanna buy some bitcoins?" And then you did unspeakable things to them.

Then, the financial analyst points to a computer screen and says, "Show me on the chart where the predators touched you."

Good enough?
>>
>>1120225
Are you really trying to say people forced other people to buy Bitcoin? No, you guys were rushing to buy them in a panic. That was your own greed, not any predator doing that.
>>
>>1120231
I was just joking around. I never bought bitcoin. I just think you understand what I meant by the word predator and you're being too closed in your definition.
>>
>>1120252
I just dont think there is such thing as a predatory crypto investor. If anything you all prey on yourselves. Shills shilling shills. All of you hope to cash out at a higher price and dump on each other and none of you actually using them for their intended purpose. Why would anyone use Ether as fuel for apps if they think that the price is going to raise forever? You suffer from the same curse as Bitcoin. The speculative nature will always kill any real world use.
>>
>>1120272
You gotta be fair though, a lot of people who originally got into BTC used it exactly for its intended use - buying stuff from silk road. By the time late adopters showed on the trail of news articles up prices were already in the hundreds. With ethereum, the biggest use case hasn't even been discovered yet. The ideas that have been proposed so far - contractual casinos, distributed prediction markets, etc... are good applications but don't seem to me to be the one idea that etherium will be known for.
>>
>>1120272
Just buy ETH you blithering mongchild

I know loads of actual professional futures traders who were in btc markets early. You obviously know fuck all
>>
>>1120295
>buy ETH
Is this just your go-to response when you have nothing of value to say?

>professional futures traders
You are disproving my point... how? Its all speculation.

LMFAO there are STILL people who are sleeping on Ethereum?

How fucking devoid of foresight do you have to be?
>>
I bought in at 6.90, is it too late to buy 750$ worth more?
>>
>>1120091
How much money (in USD) would it take to make some pocket money, most of it for the fun of trading?

I'm thinking about putting down 600 USD in ether.

>Buy bitcoins through local bitcoins at 448 USD each (when market price is 428-430)
>Exchange into ether
>Hold for 10
>Either keep holding or sell for bitcoins and cash out on paypal again

The thing is that I see that the profit margins should be huge to be worth it, cosnidering the amount of fees and comissions of trading back and forth.
>>
>>1120333
>cosnidering the amount of fees and comissions of trading back and forth.
You need to calculate that first.
>>
>>1120325
>>1120333

There is a LOT of headroom for price to grow. Literally nothing has happened yet. Invest what you can without straining yourselves and just hold it in a wallet for a year or 2.
>>
Not sure how much of this hype is genuine as opposed to people who bought low and are actively trying to get a pump going.

Can't decide between getting out now, or instead putting a grand into ETH.

KEK
>>
>>1120371

Why don't you read the latest news about it on Google and look into it? Are you incapable of evaluating an investment?
>>
>tfw bought in 45 eth for 400 instead of buying 4500 eth for 40,000
>>
>>1120375
I don't care all that much mate.

I imagine most of the '''news'''' out there for cryptos is from amateur or partisan sources with interests either way.
>>
>>1120427
>thomson reuters and new scientist are partisan
>>
>>1120091
Serious question though, why is it so hars to buy ETH? Verification in Kraken is a fucking nightmare
>>
>>1120467

Buy BTC, shapeshift it.
>>
Any chance ETH tanks back to 2.00 so that I can go all in?
>>
>>1120486
zero chance faggot.

the days of $10+ ETH are almost upon us and will be a psychological barrier, once broken, that will lead to 20, 30, 40, 50 etc.
>>
>>1120471
Doesn't shapeshift have gigantic Transaction fees?
>>
>>1120486
Almost a certainty.>>1120486
>>

It's not that bad actually.

better than waiting a week while ETH goes even further towards the moon.
>>
>>1120496
based on what logic?
>>
>>1120499
last question, i could spare 300€ right now, is it worth it?
>>
Who's buying the sub 0.02 dip?

Already got $700AUD in it, got another grand to put in and I have my finger on the trigger.

Convince me not to
>>
>>1120507

If that amount won't fuck you up financially then yeah I'd do it. If you think Ethereum has a chance at becoming a standard it's a good investment.

Probably the simplest and quickest guide to buy Eth. If you still don't own any ETH after reading this, maybe this isn't your thing...

Let's say that someone bought bitcoin in a hurry, to buy some ETH.

Let's say that that someone has no ETH wallet, no Bitcoin wallet, 550USD sitting in localbitcoin, and no idea what to do next.

What do you tell that someone?
>>
>>1120685
