>>
Google the fall of Ancient Rome, then look outside and shit brix
>>

I am too lazy to google.
>>
>>1118957
Nothing.

Protip: Every generation says this shit about the one that comes after them.

Your great grandfather's generation was saying your grandfather's generation was shit, and before him and before HIM, and so on.

>b-b-but da kids are masturbating to da porn, fighting, playing videogames and doing drugs

No they're not.

Before everyone was staring at their smartphones, everyone was staring at their TV's. Before everyone was staring at their TV's everyone was staring at a newspaper.

The sky isn't falling, every generation is the same just with technology slightly changed. If anything it's only getting better.
>>
The worst part of generation Z is they post shit threads like this on 4chan.
If only age limitations were better enforced.

Don't worry, ancient rome's fall is a meme for modern panic historians.

>If only age limitations were better enforced.
In my opinion, they should be removed. Judging a person by their age is inadequate.
>>
>>1118957
They're children.
>>
>>1118957

They're being raised by millennials and late gen Xer's
>>
>>1119863
Mostly x'ers. Millennials barely even raise their kids.
>>
The only issue I have with people born around the year 2000 is that it seems a lot of them don't use the Internet to its potential. Most don't even see the value of Wikipedia.
>>
>>1118978
>Your great grandfather's generation was saying your grandfather's generation was shit, and before him and before HIM, and so on.

And?

Just because there's a pattern doesn't mean it isn't true.

>Before everyone was staring at their smartphones, everyone was staring at their TV's. Before everyone was staring at their TV's everyone was staring at a newspaper.

If you think past generations were just as distracted by bread and circuses as today, you're being retarded. Yes, one generation isn't that much different than the next, but by two generations the gap is massive.

We're spoiled. We spend too much time on entertainment and not enough time developing skills or inheriting the knowledge of our ancestors. Eventually the average person will be dangerously useless, and we're already doomed to make the same mistakes.
>>
>>1118978
But every generation in the past countless years has built upon the next and been more prosperous, with the exception of the latest one. There is a noticeable difference in how people behave and what they think.

There is a sense of entitlement that was never there before. They feel they deserve the rewards that others get through hard work and perseverance, but without putting in any of the work. And not only that, they will actively seek out and scream abuse at those who are successful. They are the first generation of people to leave university and colleges more stupid than when they went in, with absolutely no skills or anything to offer the world. They just demand that others hand over what they have earned.

They all hang out in tumblr and instagram. My sister is 15 and all she does is sit on her social networks, even when she's with her friends.

She just moved in with me because my folks went out of country for work and she's easy as shit to take care of. All she needs is wifi. I have no clue what she's going to do when she's an adult. Her boyfriend is even dumber kek. Good kids though.
>>
I think we're getting ahead of ourselves, the story of Gen. Z has yet to be written, the oldest Gen. Zers aren't even adults yet...

But this is my opinion of the generations:

- Greatest generation: a bit of hyperbole but this was the last generation of Americans that were truly free, lived in great economic times and TERRIBLE economic times and did both with dignity. Americans knew exactly what they were, men were masculine and women were feminine.

When people were angry at something they fucking rioted, unfair dairy taxes? They smashed up property, lit shit on fire and went to jail for their beliefs.

Baby Boomers: Fucking trash, lazy fucks that burnt through resources at the greatest rate in all of history. Lived through the economic boom and tranquility of the 50s and yet STILL swallowed the propaganda of the 60s... caused the sluggish economy of the 70s.

Threw open the floodgates of illegal immigration, figuring someone will fix it later... in the meanwhile cheaper food and manual labor, "don't worry my kids will just get a cozy unionized factory job".

Generation X: Most checked out politically and opted to just work and consume, despite the two decades of economic boom they were constantly complaining about how bad they had it (look how whiny all the popular media aimed at Gen. Xers was despite constantly improving standard of life )... decided to ship all the American industry overseas in exchange for cheaper good in the short term... "don't worry my kids will get a guaranteed student loan and all work in high paying jobs that are easily obtained with a college degree... supply and demand? The fuck is that?!".

Millennials: first generation born into a scenario were they are most likely going to be worse off than their ancestors. Without good unskilled labor jobs, little national industry, college degrees becoming increasingly more expensive and more useless... this generation had no other choice but to innovate and create tech startups...
>>
>>1119968
>Overexpansion and military overspending
This is simply not true. The Empire was manage to survive purely because of its warmongering. The issue is that it ran out of places to loot and fill the coffers.
>>
>>1118957

Entitled and weak cunts, every single one of them. They can barely work 50 hours without collapsing and running off to mama and only sit at home wasting time on instagram and twitter. Really disgraceful. When I was as old as them, I worked 16 hour shifts in a coal mine and had to live off a dollar per day. These little shits don't know anything about in life.

Lucky? The economy was horrible back then, it's nothing like today where the kids can buy smartphones and cars for a day's wage. I had to save up half a year for a loaf of bread and in the meantime I had to nourish myself with mere soil to survive. We made mudcakes with that soil: we processed it into paste and put it onto the pavement on a hot, sunny day because there wasn't even electricity - let alone an oven! That's how hard it was.
>>
>>1120014
You're fucking spoiled. Back in my day, if I didn't wake up with a hard on on Christmas morning, I'd have nothing to play with all day!
>>
>>1120026
>Buy smartphones for a day's wage.

Uh, literally no entry-level worker can do that, even if they worked the full 24 hours of the day.

That is, if you're talking about purchasing a smartphone new.
>>
>>1119916

Source? Muh anecdotes don't cut it.

Because really, while you have SJWs screaming and shitting themselves, they're really the minority when it comes to everything. You wanna know who the SJWs were back in the 80s? The hyper-religious Christian fanatics that wanted to ban porn, ban gay marriage, and ban anything else that offended THEIR sensibilities. Stupid fucking morons are in every generation, it's just they changed their religion from Christianity to SJW.
>>
>>1120023
No, I actually love and care about my family. I know, weird that I'm not self centered neet with a circumcision obsession like the average biz user.
>>
>>1120057
I miss the Christians, they at least were fun to argue with. Sjws won't even engage you, they just say some shit like "of course you would think that, you're a white guy" to close down any discussion.

Never thought I'd miss the radical Christfags.
>>
>>1120002
So... what your saying is overspending caught up? Novel.
>>
>>1119968
>overreliance on slave labor
Yep, just like all the southern cucks of /pol/ that can't admit how fucked they are without Jamal in shackles and doing their bidding.
>>
>>1118957
How can you say that there's something wrong with them if they aren't even full members of society? I think we should focus more on our generation and its' problems (which are plentiful) than worrying about 16 yos that still have a long way to go.
>>
>>1120165
No. More like illegals doing cheap work.
>>
Will be more entitled and dumb than millenials, exposed to a retarded culture through media

My 13 year old cousins have no idea what an anagram is
>>
>>1118957
They will probably be better than us millennials. At least Generation Z will be familiar with loss, growing up in a time where the USA for the first time in a while is declining in comparison to other countries.
>>
>>1120234
In either case, nothing to be proud of.
>>
>>1118982
I was always suspicious of this story, it wasn't that great a fall because it's still around. In fact the Vatican cult based in Rome has over 1 billion cultists assembled in all corners, many in positions of power, ready to fall on a sword for the worlds most notorious despot. It is more accurately the rise of ancient Rome to its present empire status.

Gen Z reporting

Call me a massive faggot but I have an 87 average
>>
>>1119998
I'll turn 26 in 12 days and I have to say I concur on everything you said anon.

My parents complained and whined about their shit life style and opportunities they had,
(not only that but they are fan of destructing other's, rather than constructing themselves)
while they pretty much had the best opportunities available (if we compare what they had available to what we have today),
yet both of them are in debt with the banks for the rest of their lives.

I also have to mention, all the gen X's I know about, they have 0 interest in learning, getting skilled, or improving in general, including themselves or even their own health.
oh and completely selfish aswell. 99% have no school degrees (because they didn't need it because there were more job offers available than adults demanding a job in the entire planet)
or anything important at all, they however are still fucked in many aspects simply because they go like they are big, but they are the lowest. the biggest posers ever existed.

And me, I am rising from the ashes this generation X left us.

Fuck the gen X, they are the biggest clowns.
>>
>>1120057
Anecdotes? Are you just ignoring what is happening around the country? Universities are being turned into anti-free speech safe zones for infants incapable of having their opinions challenged. College is now essentially a $30,000 a year child care. People are routinely banned from speaking because they dare to say the wrong words or think the wrong things. Jobs are being lost simply for the crime of saying something that offends the SJWs, and this isn't just a one off thing. It has happened many times.

A recent example is Dawkins was banned from a debate on free thinking and free thought, ironically because people on twitter were offended by something he said.

Milo Yiannopoulos is currently touring colleges and giving talks on the same thing, and his talks are routinely protested by these people who don't think he should be allowed to speak. These people then set up support groups and get counseling to talk about the traumatic experience of allowed this man to talk on their campus. These people are the ones who are successfully setting up non-white safe zones for people who feel 'uncomfortable' around white people, essentially bringing back racial segregation.

Sir Tim Hunt, a nobel prize winner, lost his job at university recently because a feminist took a few quotes from him out of context and made him appear misogynist. This feminist is a known liar and has basically faked her whole academic and job history yet no one cares, she is still employed at a London university while Professor Hunt lost his job.

Gregory Alan Elliott was BANNED FROM THE INTERNET between nov 2012 and jan this year, because he criticised a feminist on twitter and she considered it harassment. 'Fearing for her life', she went to the police. He was banned with absolutely no evidence and it took until this year for them to realise it was ridiculous and drop it.
>>
>>1120057
>>1120340
And these are just a few recent examples. Do not pretend they are a harmless minority. They are out there changing our universities, ruining lives and infecting politics. Twitter recently announced a new safety council to police offensive tweets, and guess who that council is full of? Feminists and SJWs.

So again, no other generation has been as dangerous as the latest.
>>
>>1120340
>Gregory Alan Elliott was BANNED FROM THE INTERNET between nov 2012 and jan this year, because he criticised a feminist on twitter and she considered it harassment. My mother is a feminist and I can say, women shouldn't have the right to vote or even talk without previous mental health checks (this should be done every few years) and have some tests of intelligence done.

Feminist women tend to be masculine (and those who participate in feminist events walking in streets, even more fucked they are)
Women trying to behave masculine are fucked in the head.

Feminist women also use the "victimization" card much more often than those women who are not participants of the feminist shit.

They tend to be much more of hyprocrites, and are the worst sort of all women. if a woman clearly says she is a feminist without hesistation, 90% sure she is a woman no man should ever marry (and if you do make sure you won't lose not even 1% if divorce is needed)

>Psychologist, and life experiences with feminists (Including my mother who is a feminist chauvinist and one of the worst people in my city, even appear in the local news paper as a one of the biggest liars in the province for bad faith...)

Poor Gregory Alan Elliott, judged and banned for something so stupid, coming from a person that obviously had bad faith. (fearing for your life? I'm 100% sure he didn't say anything that would make anybody fear for their own physical integrity, health or life)
>>
>>1118957
God I can't imagine how bad it will be. And people think Millennials are autistic...
>>
>>1119916

This is true to an extent but the generation itself isn't solely to blame. Obviously, the environment isn't either.

But the thing is college was never meant for the masses. The previous generation set the precedent for its necessity by restricting jobs above a certain skillset. Then again, as technology progresses with time, this is natural since lower skill sets are fulfilled through automation. So logically you need a means to develop these greater skillsets and silently upping the educational standards to jobs is effective. But you don't have 20/20 foresight to see all these spinoff effects. Holistically it's not difficult to see why recent generations are more prone to instant gratification and entitlement. There's a sense of congruity when you juxtapose it to how technology has made our lives so much quicker paced, less dependent on effort, blah blah blah blah.

Shits complex and there's no point in pointing fingers unless you're trying to analyze trends to better solve the problems.

tldr; dealwithit

I'm 25 and teenagers seem exactly the way they were when I was one.

Do people seriously see a difference?

I mean, we had smartphones by late HS, definitely in early college. I guess we had netbooks instead of tablets, but both are only good for browsing. We had EPIC memes on YTMND, 4chan, SA, etc... rather than DANK memes. There was ebaums instead of reddit or 9gag. The meme candidate in 2009 was Obama, now the it's Trump. It's all the same shit.
>>
>>1119867
Correct. Should be watching my 1 year old but I'm shit posting instead. Little faggot doesn't even like anime.
>>
>>1120599
truth is that 25 yo is not THAT much of a difference but at least you had parents who lived in a normal world. Now the parents of meme spouters will be meme machines too.. things will get out of hand. It used to be that all this internet thing was a separate world from the old people's world. Not anymore, there's no refuge.
>>
>>1120651
yeah that's what I'm refering to... It will be a weird generation when even their parents are shitposting.

Shaking my dreads, fuck you mean it ruined Rome?

>ERE and WRE were Christian

The cornerstone of Western Civilization is Christianity because it gives is morals to determine what makes people or a generation good or bad. Moving away from it only hurts us because we have to completely change our views on what's good and wrong.

Back in my day we had to walk 15 miles in the snow to work

and had to carry logs 15 miles to the woodwork site in the blazing sun

We got paid in not being shot in the death squad in -30 degree weather

and if you were lucky you got to eat those who were shot by the death squads which were festering from 110 degree boiling sun

and then walk 15 miles home to our holes in the ground which were filled with maggots

if we were lucky it didnt flood with the constant rain

>The cornerstone of Western Civilization is Christianity because it gives is morals to determine what makes people or a generation good or bad. Moving away from it only hurts us because we have to completely change our views on what's good and wrong.

Debatable, Catholicism was a technology just like anything else. It served as a communicative infrastructure during a time when there was none in that part of the world.

Other civilizations got along just fine without Christianity.

Every society encounters a point in it's history where the ruling aristocrats grow fat and lazy and they start shitting around. This is generally considered a good thing in history because it gives an opportunity for newer systems and civilizations to emerge on top.

I can't stand this "Generation fuck" bullshit. There is literally no proof for any of this. Every generation has had exactly as many lazy people, as hard working ones.
Peoples lifes only fluctuate because the economy as a whole fluctuates, that's why sometimes there are more jobless people or less, but you dumb americans can't seem to grasp that.
>>
>>1121096
>Every generation has had exactly as many lazy people, as hard working ones.
Right, because in 1800 you could totally get away with being a male at-home NEET into your 30's, carving memes into the walls and tables every day and fapping every night by candle light at 8:30 pm to hand-scrawled erotic notes addressed to someone else from a 50 year old woman you found in a ditch one day, quietly enough so that your family doesn't hear you through the cracks in the walls.
