What's /biz/ opinion of online degrees?
They are not looked as the same as traditional schools. If you have access to an OK state school, go there instead.
Real life degrees are mostly a waste now.
What does that tell you about online ones....?
If me an some state school anon apply for a job do you guys really think they'd feel differently even if the degrees were other wise identical
useless
you're better off forging a degree from a real school

They obviously dont hold the same weight as a degree from a physical school but I wouldnt say they were worthless. When I was consulting for some fortune 500 there was some dude that had an MBA through Phoenix and was able to secure a pretty cushy admin role.

Are you talking about online only colleges or online degrees from real universities? there's a difference

Yes because those degrees are definitely not "other wise identical". Part of learning in a university setting is learning with your peers, working on and discussing things together. There may be some schools with special online programs that are worth it, but most aren't.
