When did you get your first job? How long did you have it?

18, dishwasher at my aunt and uncle's restaurants in South Florida. Worked there from July 2015 to November 2015. Their management was fucked, so no one was getting paid. I stopped showing up after a while. It's still fucked.

17 at Areopostale, summer job at the mall

thought I'd never get it since I was interviewed with a 9/10 qt & some white boy.

Got a call the month before school ended while boarding a train, almost lost my breath thanking my soon to be manager.

Turns out I was only able to work in the back room folding clothes all day when I thought I'd be at the register. Never came back the next year.

22. Cashier at a truckstop.

Had it for one and a half years. Moved on to working at a liquor store. Held that job for about six months.

Moved on to being a security guard. Have held the job for a year and a month.

Salad bar guy at a restaurant. Soon after I started cooking there. 2 years and many good memories.

Walked home at lunch on the third day. That shit was highly illegal now that I look back. Cash in hand, hiring kids under working age, no PPE, no training or safety course, heavy machinery. Surprised there was no disaster there.

While in grad school, data entry for Bloomberg. Quit 4 days later for double pay in my field
