What's a good, solid bank for someone who wants to build credit and have a checking account without any fees or frilly shit?

I had Schwab for a bit, but they don't offer any credit cards. Then I moved to US Bank and hoped to apply for their secured card, but it has an annual fee and I don't like having to maintain a monthly minimum balance to avoid fees.

I'm thinking about moving to Discover, as they have secured/unsecured credit cards and less account fees. Is this a bad move?

Join a credit union OP. I use American Eagle, and there a lot of benefits that come with it.
>$5 minimum saving account balance for checking account
>way better interest rates than any bank
>no yearly fees on anything
>getting any kind of loan with them is stupid easy since they have direct access to your financials and will know of you're trustworthy
>offer a wide variety of credit cards
