Took a new job and hate it after 5 months. Should I start looking for a new position biz or stick it out?

Yes, but don't accept.
You can use offers to negotiate better working conditions.

>Something like 90% attrition/firing within 18 months.
Didn't know that, although it does make sense.
You could hedge by always having offers lined up after you break the news to your current employer, though that is both time consuming and costly since you risk fucking around all the potential employers in the area.
You need to accept the fact that you will always hate your job as long as you are working for someone else

Yeah man look around.

Not always, but this is usually true.

Took a new job in supply chain finance thought I'd transition alright from insurance industry. Lack of training has made it a rough and frustrating first few months. Previous jobs weren't like this. Maybe I have unreal expectations.

I vote on just looking for a new job then. 5 months is just a blip on the radar.
