Need some advice on services to offer for a small software development company.
Beginning of last year I started a software development company specializing in mobile apps. We are literally three guys working out of a garage. The profits on the apps aren't spectacular and we are just staying afloat. I (as the owner) spend a lot of time doing miscellaneous tasks to keep the company going and I meet many other business owners who have requested services which we don't offer, but could easily provide for greater profit.
My two 'employees' and I are real generalists with a wide variety of skills. We all have multiple degrees, spent time in half a dozen jobs each and can do pretty much anything when it comes to software, IT business solutions and design.
Company focus:
- Mobile apps
Services we could offer:
- Web development & management
- Online marketing
- Cyber security solutions
- Graphic design
- Business applications
My questions is, would it be a good idea to offer such a wide variety of services? Is there downside to doing this?
Anybody with experience going down this road?
At first, just take on what ever jobs you can manage to make a good profit and a name for yourself. Find out where the biggest profits lie and focus on that.

Thanks for the advice.
Here are the new business cards I've whipped up. Any critique appreciated.
