Not exactly. If you're looking to invest, I would just DCA when the S&P falls below 1500. It's too difficult to time the market when the fed is still pushing QE and engaging in stock manipulation. The problem is that stocks might not decline below 1500 for a year or even two years from now. It could even be a decade from now.

Yes.

This one is going to be the end of the U.S. dollar,

a huge currency crisis,

shit is going to happen that is way worse than 2008 and 2001 combined

Compared to the US GDP its not really THAT much debt, at least compared to other countries. The interest on the debt is still record low, and inflation is not high. The deficit is decreasing, so what's the big problem?

How do you not understand the point of that program was re inflating stock prices, and when they fall again, Mrs.old jew will start up the presses again to make sure Obama doesn't get blamed

>>
>>1048714
>How do you not understand the point of that program was re inflating stock prices
Are you actually this retarded? The point of QE was to raise banking liquidity and facilitate the stagnant credit markets. The Feds don't manipulate the stock market, no matter how shiny your tinfoil fedora may be.

Leave /biz/. Dummies not wanted.

Changing the money supply and credit markets directly affects the economy. I never said otherwise.

Faggot.

>implying that pumping more money into the economy doesn't affect the stock market
I never said QE didn't have an effect on the stock market. I said it wasn't the Fed's intent to manipulate the market, which is true.

Faggot.

>implying that bailouts didn't save a few of the big banks (and plenty smaller ones) (I know this isn't "the Fed" per se.. but the Federal government)
That not QE, which was the discussion topic here. Or do you just jump into threads and post whatever bullshit leaks out your ass?

Faggot.

are you seriously saying that they did this out of incompetence? what kind of a retard are you?
>>
>>1048783
>are you seriously saying that they did this out of incompetence?
Shut up fag. Who said anything about incompetence? The Fed intended to increase the money supply and ease the credit market. They accomplished exactly what they set out to do. With the foreseeable, not undesirable, but not intended, effect of elevating the stock market (and the markets for other financial assets too).

Stop being such a clueless fuckwit. If you can't speak intelligently about a topic, then shut your cock-sucking mouth.
>>
>>1048788
do you honestly believe the Phds at the Fed didnt think that their credit expansion will affect stock market prices? stop being so fucking narrow minded they increase money supply for a reason. they knew what was coming
>>
>>1048813
What part of "foreseeable, not undesirable, but not intended" did you not understand? Use a fucking dictionary next time, shortbus. I don't have time to teach children.

What about the BRICS? Serious question, their NDB is starting up this month and they are actively trying to topple the USD as reserve currency. You don"t think they will?
>>
>>1044446
Communism failed in the early 90s, globalization continues to expand with Africa being next (hopefully). All this means is that capitalism is the winner now, and the markets should behave the way you predict long term.

Only thing to change this is WW3 or a global political shift
>>
>>1044933
>the central banks can control the economy

Yet everything goes to shit when they hike rates just .25%
>>
So, I was thinking: all that QE money seemed to just go into the stock market. That's why we didn't see any inflation from it, right? It was locked up in stocks.
So now if stocks crash and that money gets pulled out, will we then see some real inflation?

>So, I was thinking: all that QE money seemed to just go into the stock market.
No dummy, that's not how qualitative easing works. NONE of the "QE money" went into the stock market.

ALL of the QE money (which was really limited to Operation Twist, and not any of the QE rounds) went to purchasing treasuries and other financial assets from banks. This increase in demand for fixed-income securities drove down the interest rates, making bonds less attractive to consumers and less desirable as a store of value. As retail and institutional demand shifted to equities, prices rose.

This is elementary monetary policy stuff. If you're going to try discussing the Fed and QE with adults, at least try to grasp the basics.
>>
>>1049282
If the market crashes that will practically wipe out trillions and probably contract the currency supply?

My guess is the guy Mike Maloney had on is right, deflation first followed by inflation.
