you need a broker to buy shares in mutual funds

I did a bit of research, isn't it more profitable to buy by yourself, if you are not retarded enough to do so?

I use vanguard. I've held shares for about 3 years and I am finally catching onto the waves. The bigger the pot the more you earn. Basically you buy lot of shares at a dip then sell when it rises to its peak, (they all have very clear highs and lows), rinse and repeat.

Online broker like vanguard, etrades, scott trades, you don't need a literal broker person. Just a broker account
Vfinx/vfiax is a great place to start. Minimum buy in is 3k usd. If I recall right
