I haven't opened a bank account yet but I'm wondering if I have to. I basically do writing and design work for people through the internet. So far, I've been doing it for free but to meet ends, now I'm deciding to charge a small fee for my services.
Most of my clients aren't familiar with cryptocurrencies and the like. I was wondering if there'd be a way to recieve and transact money without an actual bank account. My charges are 1-5$ range, it doesn't make sense to go through the trouble of going to bank, opening and maintain an account. I'm looking for a virtual solution.

Alliant CU: Main account
Schwab: use debit card overseas with no international fees
PNC: local brick and mortar services
Direct deposit and ATM cash deposit into Alliant CU account
Recurring ACH to/from other bank accounts depending on need
