Hey /biz/, I want to start a web-based business and need to build a solid website for it. I'm pretty alright at web design but i want it to look like it was done by a professional so I want to hire one.

My concern is, what's to keep the person I hire from stealing my idea and making his/her own version of my website?

Is there any legal agreement they can sign? Or am I supposed to hope they have no interest?

I live in the United States if thats any help

You're usually protected by the fact that ideas usually are worth fuck all and execution is everything. You're probably being paranoid/delusional.

If you have anything to patent put a temporary patent on that beez and get to business.

People steal my ideas all the time but i just do it better and they give up.
