It dropped because there are talks that Ninty is about to release info on their next console, the NX, in March-April and it would hit the market later in the year. This means that they are abandoning their current console (Wii U), and games are probably being developed for the NX already as we speak. Nintendo also expects NX to be profitable in 2018, so take that how you will.
