I make $3,840 a month. At the end of the month, taxes take away 26.87% of my income. I am left with $2800 to live on at the end of the month. In California. WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK.

I feel like my income is getting raped.
>>
>>1006489
But anon the government needs that money so it can give it to the rich people who own everything.

I feel like my income is getting raped.

California is a containment state. I feel no sympathy for those over the age of 18 who live there.

OP, if you want to help yourself, I would suggest moving to a state with no income tax. Nevada or Washington are nearby.

My state income tax withholding isn't what I'm concerned about. It comes out to like $60 per pay check. Federal income tax, however.... fucks me in the anus.

Taxes are what you pay for the privilege of society. Freeways, public transportation, subsidized agricultural products are all there because we pay taxes like civilized people.
>>
>>1006567

I'm all for paying taxes. But it seems excessive to me that 1/4 of my small income gets taken away in form of taxes. 1/4 of $46k will put me in a worse position than someone making $92k and 1/4 of their income is taken due to taxes.
>>
>>1006583
Y-you guys don't have progressive taxation?
Here the first ~$20k is tax free, then $20-40k or whatever is a little, then $40-70k is taxed a bit more, and so on.

Figures are probably wrong, but the idea is you never end up worse off by earning more money.

>Indeed in the United States, with the exceptions of wars, real per
capita federal government expenditures remained remarkably constant
until the 1920s. In fact, as has been widely noted by public
choice scholars, World War I was the first war after which per capita
government expenditures did not return to their prewar levels, and
by the end of the 1920s the growth trend that we are so familiar with
today had begun.
>The Nineteenth Amendment, which prohibited state or federal sex-based restrictions on voting, was ratified by sufficient states in 1920

tl;dr:

I would think if you avoided them in Scandinavia, you would surely be deported to the sandlands, no?
>>
>>1007230
Tax avoidance is simpler in Sweden, I do think. Never tried it myself, but I do know the gist of it.

>Set up a private company with you as the owner and sole employee
>You recieve pre-taxed money from your employer in your regular job
>In your company write off housing costs, electricity, internet bill, etc. as expenditures, since they're necessary for your work
>This will cause a net loss in the company of those costs
>Write them off at the end of the year and you'll basically have to tax on that amount less of your income
Considering most people's income chiefly go to rent, and stuff like that, this is a pretty good method. Problem with your approach is you don't get to spend the money. This way the money you spend is "clean" because all you did was write off expenses. It's a legal grey area, but you'd probably get arrested and fined if you got found out over here.

You're right, everyone wants to own a house in California. Not only are you paying $600,000 for a $300,000 house built in the 1960s, but hey you have a house and are getting an interest deduction to rub into your shill friend's face.

i still believe 30% is too low for rich people.
and it shouldn't be in percentage, like if some rich guy makes anything more than 2k a month, he should only be allowed to take home 2k, which is enough to live comfortably, the rest goes to poor people, be it 10k or 1k of the extra income that he makes.
