Has browsing /biz/ helped you make money?

It's helped me NOT lose real money by not buying shitcoin.

It has lost me tons of money in opportunity cost.

If I did ANYTHING for even half the time of browsing /biz/ I would be much better for it.

People who supposedly have a ton of money come to 4chan asking for advice on how to spend/invest it.

People make "/frugal/" threads and it just gets spammed with a bunch of illegal shit.

I started a thread telling everyone to short Lumber Liquidators when that 60 minutes documentary aired about them. Their stock price started at $46 or so that day. It dropped below $15 that day and below $12 overall. It has bounced up and down between $11 and $17 since then.

I know for a fact that at least on person took my advice to heart and shorted LL. I made somebody else money that day.

You could also have followers and follow people so you would gain an audience. So this sounds kind of stupid, but it's arguably the most useful thing I've ever found here. One time there was a resume thread on here about a year ago. This was my second to last semester of college and I had no idea how to get a job.

Someone posted this example resume:

I used this format and followed the advice in the link. I went to a job fair at my university in the spring and awkwardly handed out my resume to as many employers as possible. I got several calls back. I now have a data analyst job making $51k/yr.

It's not a super success story or something, but it made me realize my previous resume had been shitty when I was too much of a sperg to go talk to student services or a professor.

There's obviously a lot more to getting a job than a nice resume, but it can at least get you an interview.
