If you haven't heard of Nexus yet, I think it is worth checking out. I've been in the crypto space since 2013, and following this coin for the past 6+ months. There is a lot happening in the next month, and I think it may still be unfortunately under the radar for many.
Nexus is primarily focused on quantum security, decentralization, and scalability. Nexus is utilizing three minting channels, quantum secure keys, and cube satellites, along with developing other innovative features, to solve these problems of the future.
Here is a brief introduction video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltJfuVWa1ZQ
Nexus is putting on a conference next month in Aspen, CO featuring many prolific speakers both in and out of the blockchain space, including:
Ron Paul, Peter Schiff, G. Edward Griffin, Max Keiser, Lyn Ulbricht, Jesse Ventura, Roger Ver, Patrick M. Byrne (CEO of Overstock.com) + Many others!
Full speaker list can be found @ http://www.nexusearth.com/speakers.html
This conference is looking great, and should bring many more eyes to Nexus.
I'm not telling anyone to buy, do your own research, but I think things are looking good for the future of Nexus.
>The American Ethereum
>>3373235
this is always the first post in Nexus threads but nobody called it the American Ethereum. It's not even really like ethereum. It's more like space dash
This is looking primed to break out again in the next couple days. Guessing it could shoot to 100k sats or so then consolidate again until the conference. But I guess it's up to the real money and when they decide to push it again

/biz/ bros, will OMG moon tomorrow because of the conference or will there be a dip?
>>3373216
massive dip
Thought I was being smart reducing my position with the chinese delistings and its hasnt gone down
there will be a dip unless they announce something unbelievable and groundbreaking, like the legendary Apple partnership.
DIONS, bro
>tfw to smart to buy shill pajeet coins

could you tell me more about the obsidian ico scam
i think i may have been a victim of this
>> tfw you follow crypto full time but can't recognized meme'd shitcoins
Whats the most profitable investment strategy:
1. Coinbase buy and hold (60% BTC, 20% ETH, 20% LTC)
2. Buy and hold but with a large portion in large alts as well (XMR, OMG, NEO)
3. Short term investing into emerging alts with low market caps hoping they will moon
4. Investing into ICOs
5. Chasing shitcoin pump and dumps
lightcoin is about to explode, Maby move 20% more into it. stick with the top 10 coins for the most part and you should be ok. ICO's are just gambling most of the time, Sometimes it works out and other times it doesn't.
5 :^)
3.
Stuff like ARK, Blocknet, IOC.
Question about taxes on crypto.
>buy $500 worth of btc
>sell it for $2000
>pay tax on 1500 profit
but what if I make another purchase of lets say $3000 worth of btc during the same fiscal year. does it count as a loss?
>>3373123
bump, pls halp me accounting bros
>>3373123
>does it count as a loss?
no, you don't claim what you buy. you pay tax on the $1500 you cashed out as you said, buying another $3000 doesn't affect your taxes until you sell it again at either a profit or a loss (or if you buy something with bitcoin directly)

LTC going to hit $100 by Monday. Anyone else excited?
Hell yeah ltc/btc ratio going back up just like i guessed it would i imagine will be back around .02 in 2 weeks or less now. this month should be pretty great w/ getting access to my btc-e coins after sep 15th and ltc will probably be hitting another all time high by then.
fuuuuuckkk yeaah
>>3372302
Do I sell my LTC at 100 then?
I remember how absurd it was back in 2013 to imagine that LTC would one day hit $100.
It's still the king of fucking shitcoins though.
