Agreed.

I bought .1 at $400. I thought there would be a crash but I didn't want to miss those mad gainz if they did happen. However, I do think it will recover at some point, maybe not next month though. Just waiting for the crash to stop so I can buy some coins cheap.

Thank god the wire transfer to my freshly opened coinbase account was so slow. Would have definately thought also about seppuku if the money came a bit earlier and I would have invested it all in bitcoin at 3000USD and ETH at 400USD

I've got some money to spend. I'm pretty normie, just having a vague understanding of what is Crypto. I'm not looking to get mad rich, just to make some easy money for my travel savings.

I'm thinking about buying Litecoin for about 250 euros, and 1 Ethereum.
Am I on the right track?

Pic related, it's me when I got my crypto enlightment.

>>
OP here.
Also what is this talk about August 1st?
Does it mean, now is the time to make a smart move and invest in Litecoin and maybe on ETH? And wait till August and see what happens?

So if I put in an order for BTC at 2500 and it takes Shitbase a week to actually fill my order, do I get a larger amount of BTC? Or is it contracted at the price it was 3 days ago?

You bought it for the old price. They buy it for the new price. They make money. You lose money.
>>
>>2456152
Just use BitQuick.co when ordering that much BTC. It's much faster.

I use coinbase when I need 500 for quick investments though.

Our crew recently got into capitalism. It was decided to spread our portfolio (based on our skillz/prefs) over crypto and drugs.

Drugs turned quickly into a lot of dough, and ETH served us well over the last 6mo...

However, our drugdude got caught, and all our winnings has been going into law..

So, bail us out, plz /biz/?

Ripple seems to have a great idea behind it. Swift has huge problems in terms of international money transfers and Ripple offers faster (verified in seconds compared to SWIFT's DAYS), cheaper (like $0.0003 per transaction), and more transparent (cuts out the Middle men in international money transfers) system of money transfer.

Not only that but it has big backing. It has a lot of competition from traditional fintech startups and Bitcoin based software and the R3 consortium, but looking at its progress in japan is astonishing. Right now Ripple is used in 40% of consumer banking in Japan and a pilot test by a consortium of 47 banks was a success (12 more have since joined). A commercial release of the technology is expected in October 2017.

Once XRP becomes more liquid, it can even be used to help banks with liquidity problems. Rather than having one bank store dead cash at a foreign institution it intends to transfer money to, a quick conservation from USD into XRP and XRP into JPY, GBP, EUR, any currency you need is all it takes and the transaction can be verified in seconds.

The Global Payments Steering Group is working on establishing a clear framework of rights and obligations for banks using Ripple's technology and its founding members included Bank of America, Santander, and the royal bank of Canada. On top of those, today it also partners with standard chartered, national Australia bank, Mitsubishi UFJ financial group, and the Canadian imperial bank of commerce.

They currently serve 75 customers, which is small compared to SWIFT's 11,000, but makes it a leader among its competitors.

What's the catch?

XRP itself is fine. The problem is its economics standpoint. 75% of the total supply is waiting to be dumped. XRP holders are probably being diluted all the time.
