I read the entire Incerto series except the Bed of Procrustes (argueably the least important). I thought Black Swan and Antifragile were particularly relevant to cryptocurrency, but I am a student, not a teacher, to be clear.

Beyond relevance, it was a fun casual read. Sometimes the writing style and persona of the author drove me crazy, other times I adored it. Though I have to say I do agree with criticisms that can be found here: http://falkenblog.blogspot.com.au/2009/03/review-of-talebs-black-swan.html

All in all, I'd say I agree that you can gather everything useful from the book from several of the critical responses I've read, and that perhaps it's not necassarily "worth the time", but I enjoyed it anon, and that's most important.

From reading the first 60 pages of anti fragile, I felt like it was more of a kind of brain-booster book, one that can spark ideas and lead to closer inspection of how markets and culture works together -- as opposed to something that would survive harsh scrutiny of concepts etc.

My main issue was with his idea of randomness, although I haven't read black swan, and i'm sure he probably goes into more depth and nuance there.

The way that he considers the anti-fragile isn't that new in terms of theory but fits in nicely with other stuff I've been reading about the way that economic systems work or should work.

Have you read Cloud Time from Zero books? sort of similar understanding of "Capitalism" as an organism that sustains itself through absorbing stress and attacks.
