This is long-term play. Ripple is 5th most funded company in Silicon Valley atm, because they own a lot of Ripple and are allowed to pay wages and assets with a fixed amount every month (millions of $). They are hiring like crazy, over 200 PhD-level employees, former business architect at SWIFT.

You know SWIFT? It is shit. Technology from the 70s, expensive, slow. However, it pushes 5 trillion $ a day.

Ripple will replace SWIFT. Governments/regulatory bodies want banks to replace SWIFT too. Banks get instant transactions and cheaper costs with XRP.

There will be 100 billion tokens available. So the new corporate Paypal is not going to be worth 100 billion $? (while transferring, say, 1 trillion $ a day globally)

There is no way this coin will net you a lot of short-term profit, as they don't want the coin to be volatile (you dont want the value of XRP to change too much during $kk+ transactions). But Ripple absolutely benefits from a slow steady increase in valuation.

Well first off the market is impressively stable for this coin... secondly there is a solid real world use case that is only going to get more necessary as crypto gets cracked down on... ICO's getting shut down, etc. Even though this is purely conjecture, I would assume that the coin distribution is relatively even, a lot of the really swingy coins are heavily premined or held by whales from a long time ago who benefit from the constant volitility... BTC, eth, your average shit coin. So for a number of reasons it's the most intelligent hold.

As far as projections, it will definitely double in a year, and have solid growth. It definitely isn't going to plummet any time soon

Monero is a good coin but zcash will dwarf it in a years time only because of the people behind it. Coinbase cofounder is invested and he will add it to Coinbase I reckon and that's the end of Monero
