Well yes, but the reality is that there were times when animation was great, but other mediums have almost completely replaced what animation was and have erased what it could have been. What is left on tv today is primarily not hand drawn, or digitally drawn for that matter, with few exceptions. Animation was great in cinema with a golden age of animation in the 80s from studios like disney(which has always been a monolopy for most of the West's history in animation). I believe if more studios took animation seriously, were inspired by others to take the artform in a new direction, and if there was more competition in the industry, we may have ended up where they were. Where we are now is where anime was before Evangelion. Wait... Fuck you OP!!!

Anime is fucking expensive to produce. Animators on TV anime are getting paid jack shit and working ridiculous hours to work on some show that will break even or maybe make just a little bit of money because of merchandising.

It also doesn't help that the majority western companies that made hand-drawn animation didn't actually do any of the animation in their native country, instead outsourcing to Korea. A practice that Japan has and will continue to do as well in a good number of cases.

It's literally cheaper to produce 2d using puppets than hand drawn frames. Hence, why shows like Teen Titans Go exist, even when the creators know a continuation of the original would be far better.

We used to have those Hannah Barbara and superhero cartoons, up until the new millennium, which had pretty good animations, compared to recent years. We also have Avatar: The Last Airbender and Samurai Jack, but that's about it for anime-like action cartoons.

Most of famous anime are based on manga such as GITS, Akira, Eva, Initial D, Nausicaä, and Lupin The Third, not to mention many Shonen JUMP manga.
Making sophisticated anime with an intricate plot requires successful manga.
You should start with drawing manga.

Truth bomb: Anime is anime as you weebs know it because the characters have anatomy. Manga as you know it has same basic 'rules.' Weebs like 'anime' because they can imagine a fully featured body from the drawing. 'Western' cartoons don't do it for you because they're not anatomically correct enough for you or because there's not a sexually interesting character targeting your particular range of interest.

A good example of an action cartoon is motorcity, which was done in flash. Damn, that translation is so bad. I don't blame it though, those are very obscure words. First one means something like "make something yellow/make something bile" with an emphasis on the fact that you should finish that action. Second one is an adjective of the word "gęś", "goose" in English. Third one is something like "ego" or "consciousness". "Mości Panie" is an archaic polite form of saying "you", something like "honorable mister"/"honorable sir" and the name is a name. So the whole sentence is something along the lines of "Make goose ego yellow/bile, honorable Sir Grzegorz Brzęczyszczykiewicz"

It's pretty easy, especially that in Polish language every letter/digraph has one sound (although some letters/digraphs share sounds because of historical reasons). So basically, if I know how to pronounce the thing and know basic rules of Polish ortography (that's the stuff most of Poles just "feel" and do not really know, including myself), then you are able to write it down
I know some more hard phrases like that, due to nature of our language (so its difficulty basically) those phrases are really popular, like "Stół z powyłamywanymi nogami" or "Król Karol kupił królowej Karolinie, korale koloru koralowego" or "Chrząszcz brzmi w trzcinie w Szczebrzeszynie" etc. etc.

No wonder, especially when we use the same alphabet, just with some differences. Polish is a very hard language, does not make sense in a lot of ways, have a gajilion different forms for every word, for example your word "two" has two forms: "two" and "second". Our word "two", "dwa" has something like 14 forms which I won't even try to write all down. Also, EVERY noun and EVERY verb and EVERY adjective has at least 10 or 20 forms depending on the tense you are using it in, who are you speaking to, what are you trying to convey etc. etc. etc.

Basically, do not learn Polish, it's a waste of time and effort and you will never get to the point where native speakers won't be able to tell you aren't one.

Polish is a weird combination of everything bad about eastern and western languages, the only good things are that every letter (well, except digraphs) has one way to pronounce it and that it's just pretty, very ornamental. Otherwise our language is totally impractical and does not make any sense
