Remember to catch spiders and set them free outside instead of killing them!
>>
>>2177565
That's what every self respecting Australian does. As do the decedents of Robert the Bruce (but they do it for superstitions historical reasons)
>>
Friendly reminder that most spiders are massive pussies.
>>
>>2177565
but house spiders die if you let them outside.
so just keep them in your house
>>

"House spiders are harmless because they are unable to pierce human skin so I would urge people not to throw them out of their houses as they will die. They are also very territorial and will get back in the house"
>>
>>2177617
If you grab them you will fuck up their wings. Use paper to gently urge them to fuck off out of a window.
>>
>>2177617
Leave them, spider's gotta eat.
>>
>>2177601

If they stayed in the ceiling corner of my bathroom, wouldn't it starve from not catching anything?
>>
>>2177617

They eat holes in clothes, but it's fun watching my cats hiss at them
>>
>>2177634
it takes a year for a spider to go hungry or thirsty.
so it will move out in about 8 months.
>>
>>2177565
>find normal house spider
>just chilling in his net, eating other bugs like a real bro
>meh just put him outside
>it's -20 degrees outside
>poor spider bro dies within seconds

Damn, the more you know!
>>
>>2177625
Ok, but how does that relate to them dying if they aren't in a house?
It's as if you just answered a question nobody asked

Reminder that if you put a house spider outside, it will probably die (unless it happens to be a spider native to the local environment, and it usually isn't).

They're cool to watch as they move and spin in fast jerky jumps. It's like the fuckers live on a diet of pure meth

>>

Does shit like that even happen? Eating a spider is potentially kill?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQmkn_NR4nk
>>
>>2178313
It's a common misconception that dogs are immune to spider venom, but that's a load of bullshit, they just don't often get bitten. A spider will absolutely try to bite with a rottweiler chowing down on it, and in most cases it'll be just as potent for the dog as a human. I was lucky that either the spider died before it could bite or it wasn't venomous.
>>
>>2178325
Fukken australia man
>>
I haven't seen a spider inside my house in ages, but there are a couple in the dark creeks and tight spaces that have shade in my backyard.

I think I saw a wasp in one of the nets and a moth in another, so it's a good thing I didn't try to kill them.
>>
>>2178296
>how did it get into the house in the first place
Commerce has spread around lots of spiders and bugs to places they aren't native to. They're inadvertently brought to the area by humans (in crates and such) and travel from one human shelter to the next.

No one said the only spiders that can possibly live in your house are non-native, just that many of them typically are.

You replied directly to OP, and he didn't say that.
You posted pic related, which isn't true, then defended it by saying you were quoting "some guy"
They can live outside, that's where they came from.

Look, moit... I know that in Australia, the spiders are the real natives and you're the invasive species that can't survive outside of a human shelter, but that's not necessarily the case all around the world.

>>
>>2178325
Nah man, there's 2 types of spiders, primitive spiders, and whatever the more recent spiders are called.
Primitive spiders are hunters, and have independent fangs control.by muscles that pierce down to stab and inject.
Midern spiders have curved fangs that ooen and close like a clamp, tip to tip, and they need to put something between the path of their fangs to be able to bite, which they can't do without being anchored.
My cat chomos down on spiders all the time and never gets bitten. If a giant chomped you off the ground and started chewing you, do you think you even think if throwing a punch, and if you did, would it even hit anything while you're being chewed?

I wonder if spider venom can sometimes cause brain damage instead of killing the victim.
>>
>>2178426
But that's what you said. How is that having it my way?
There is no such thing as a house spider. Maybe you have a non native spider and you throw it out in winter it'll die, but it didn't die because it was put outside, it died because you threw it into freezing temperatures.
>>
>>2177565
I leave spiders alone because I'm afraid if I kill them, they'll grow huge and take revenge on me

i always keep spiders around. luckily one has made it's home right outside my bedroom window this whole summer. every day i get to see him making his web and catching bugs that try to get through my shitty window screens.

when i was a little tot and i'd go visit my grandmother, she always had this spider that chilled outside her window too and she named him twiggy. every summer we visited twiggy would be there, i know it probably wasn't the same spider but i imagined it was a descendant of old man twiggy. so if i you see spiders outside your window, it's probably safe to assume it's another twiggy relative protecting your dwelling and living in perfect synergy with humans.
>>
>>2177565
Just leave them inside if they are webbed somewhere not in the way.
Spiders kill the other faggots that get in your house. Like those giant fucking cockroaches.
