Fine.
Had a conversation with my parents high as a kite. Think I was being pretty rude because they were just asking stupid questions and confused about how to use the TV.
Think they noticed.
Heard them whispering when I left the room in a huff. Either that or it's just the whispering I think I hear all the time when sitting alone in my room.

Titanfall 1 is one of my favourite shooters of all time. I loved that game to death. I played it until the server populations became unsustainable.
Titanfall 2, while not a bad game (it has a great singleplayer), just can't live up to the original from a gameplay perspective.
>>1247980
I never played titanfall 1, because it was xbox exclusive, so i've no opinion on which is better, but I fucking love titanfall 2. it's the only shooter in recent memory that i've actually enjoyed. I think the way they've handled DLC this time is really good as well

>>1255030
Lucky bastard. I had to get up at 7 when classes started at 9. Most other students lived close enough that they didn't have to get up until sometime after 8, a good few lived within walking distance and could get up at 9 and sneak in during prayers if they wanted.
I was by far the most sleep deprived person in the school, I only saw one other sleep in class besides myself.

Yes I was a good Catholic boy, apart from never going to mass and sinning a lot.
>Is this a thing?
Why wouldn't it be? People need sleep.
>How do teachers not notice it?
Depended on the class. In history my desk was at the top of the class while everyone else sat in the back. The teacher spent most of the class back with them so she had her back turned to me. She was also really boring so it was easy to fall asleep.
My Irish teacher once caught me dozing and slammed a book on my desk to wake me up. Scared the shit into me. He almost did it again another class but I lifted my head up and spotted him while he was sneaking up on me, he was really disappointed.
There was one class that he saw me drifting in and out of consciousness and he made me put my head down and sleep. I didn't think I was that tired but I fell asleep without knowing and woke up 15 minutes later when the bell rang.
My Irish teacher was actually really sound. Made me feel bad that I was terrible at Irish.
>>1255548
You didn't have forced praying at the start of each day? They read ours out over the intercom just in case one of the classes teacher might forget to say them.
>>1255696

>You didn't have forced praying at the start of each day?
No. What year was this, 1965?
>>1255770
>No. What year was this, 1965?
No, just modern Ireland where the terms of education are dictated by brothers and nuns in their nineties. I thought every catholic school would have had the morning prayer.
>>1255741
We had to assemble in the hall for them. A lot of lads tried to avoid them by hiding upstairs or outside but you got a good giving out to if they caught you.
>>1255770
>The times when you successfully avoided detection, was it the bell that woke you usually?
Usually I wasn't full-on sleeping, just nodding off. The only only classes I was properly asleep for was history, most others I had to be awake because the teachers were much stricter or I was more interested.
>That's the most important class anon
Not if you went to a Gaelscoil.

You had to do that every day? Seems like a good waste of class time.

I'm curious as to the reasons why parents would choose to send their child to a gaelscoil. Why did your parents send you?

>>1255866
I am too, seeing as there's /brit/ everything on most of the other big boards. We're already at 12 million posts after 2 months so this is a fairly fast board.
>>1255868
>Maybe we had them in national
In primary we had prayers for lunch as well.
>Why did your parents send you?
I made the decision myself. I only really did it because my brother went there and it would be easier, as for why he went I don't know, maybe because our mother went there. Plus there'd be no chance of encountering any of my primary school classmates again. The other choices in schools were an all-boys school that's known for being a knacker hellhole where it's expected that lads get the shit kicked into them regularly, a school with no uniforms that I was against because I didn't want to have to dress fashionably and I can't remember the other schools in the area but I'm pretty sure most of them were quite knackery.
My only complaint about my school was that my mam and brother told me the Irish wasn't that strongly used. They lied. In fairness to my mother, when she went there half the teachers couldn't speak Irish and she was líofa.
>>1255107
>I had to get up at 7 when classes started at 9
That's not too bad though. I usually woke at 7:15 and was up by 7:30. I just made sure that I went to bed around midnight.

Wise choice.
>>1256026
>I thought the Christian Brothers have relinquished their control of their former schools?
My school was still owned by the nuns but they haven't taught classes in decades, we never even saw them. There was a tradition that the Leaving Cert class would spend a day with this old nun that was apparently great craic but they didn't do it for our class even though my brother's class did a few years previous. Maybe she got too old.
>>1256042
>Still not sure if you're memeing or serious about the whole Commie thing.
It starts as a joke, then it gets serious.

>There was a tradition that the Leaving Cert class would spend a day with this old nun that was apparently great craic but they didn't do it for our class even though my brother's class did a few years previous

Quality craic indeed.
>It starts as a joke, then it gets serious.
A joke taken seriously is still a joke, which is rather apt for Communism.
>>1256042
>not sure if you're memeing or serious about the whole Commie thing
Memeing, mostly. Why anyone would want to be born, raised or live for any extended period of time outside of glorious Éire makes no sense to me.
I know a good few Nazis, Trump supporters and Brexiteers online, whom I mostly dislike, so I typically pick up the Commie banner, if just for the craic, to counteract them.
Plus this whole right-wing populist wave in recent years has been fairly Anglo-centric, and I don't like Anglos, so you know.
>>1256106
>Plus this whole right-wing populist wave in recent years has been fairly Anglo-centric
You're telling me. The amount of unionists on /pol/ is fucking sickening. Even the yanks there look up to england as some bastion of whiteness against the supposed EU caliphate, despite england having more pakis than every other European country and that number will only get higher now that they can't get into better countries as easily.
Owning a third of the globe 100 years ago and deluding yourself into thinking you still do is "based" apparently.

>>1257074
Padraig Carney has to fuck off and die first. Imagine so many people wishing you'd hurry up and die.
>>1257074
>I reckon this will be Mayos year for Sam.
>>1257115
Is he the last one left for the curse?
>>1257144
Paddy Prendergast as well.
>>1257144
Did not know about this "Mayo curse", that's fucking fantastic.
>>1257194
When you see a team scoring two own goals in an a final you start to wonder. They're either cursed or the biggest bottlers sport has ever seen.
>>1257203
>biggest bottlers sport has ever seen.
That's what I put it down to. Then again maybe this curse stuff got in the players heads and psyched them out causing them to bottle it.
Have some Chipsticks for later. Haven't had them in a good few years now.
>Mayo returned to the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final in 2012. Even with Taoiseach Enda Kenny in Rome seeking divine intervention through Pope Benedict XVI the day before, the "Kafkaesque black farce" continued from where it had left off
>>1257225
I had some Waffles yesterday for the first time in a while. The true MVP of the Tayto family.
>>1257241
I'm a bit disappointed he didn't say he wouldn't leave the office until Mayo won.
>>1257253
Waffles are a fucking luxury. Snax are great as well. I think the non-standard crisps like Tayto, King and the like tend to be much nicer. Maybe it's because they have more room to play around with in regard to shape and texture as opposed to normal crisps which are essentially restricted to flavour.
>>1257253
>Waffles
Don't think I've ever eaten those before.
>>1257284
You're missing out.
>>1257284
They're a bit like bacon fries if you've ever had them.
Enda Evangelion
>>1257312
>rancheros
>meh
>>1257312
>Chickatees, hot lips and onion rings that high
>Rancheros, Chipsticks, Snax, Skips and Waffles that low
>King below cheese and onion Taytos
>>1257318
Now there's an idea for the OC pile.
>>1257341
>King below cheese and onion Taytos
>Putting King above Tayto
Found the Protestant.
>>1257822
That argument doesn't work when King is Irish. And yes I prefer them because they have a better and stronger cheese and onion taste than Tayto. Maybe 10 years ago they didn't but Tayto's been skimping on the flavour lately.
>>1257837
Its a joke, they're all the same company anyway.
https://www.largofoods.ie/page/brands.html
>>1257225
>Chipsticks
Zero flavour.
>>1257253
>Waffles
God-tier. Missed those when I was in France.
>>1257281
>Snax
Almost as flavourless as Chipsticks.
>>1258059
You eat Snax for the way they melt in your mouth you dolt. There's more to crisps than just flavour.
>>1258090
They're just puffs of air though.
>>1258090
>There's more to crisps than just flavour.
Mayo couldn't actually lose this right?
>>1257312
>Bacon fries anything but God-tier
Maybe it's just because I only ever ate them after a few drinks and they are virtually impossible to get outside of a pub, but proper Bacon Fries are incomparable to anything else on that chart.
>>1257837
>That argument doesn't work when King is Irish
Well there are Irish Protestants too. But they're still Protestants.
>>1258090
>leave a snax on your tongue and wait for it to melt
>>1258170
This Mayo side are done for if they do
>>1258162
Yes that's true of all foods. Texture is just as important to your enjoyment as flavour. If flavour's all you care about then just drink vials of flavour.
>>1258190
>>Bacon fries anything but God-tier
I'm being rused surely.
Anyone here play ESO?
>Mayo couldn't actually lose this right?
Oh God ye've fecked it.
>>1258190
>Well there are Irish Protestants too. But they're still Protestants.
Don't try to tell that to the DUP they think we culled them all.
>63 minutes
>Mayo have 3 points from play
Sister's lying in the livingroom eating MY TAYTO's again
>>1258226
If Derry win this we'll need a some OC from Lux.
>>1258240
Girl needed
Tipperary are making hard work of WestMeath in the Hurling. The Kilkenny game should be interesting tonight - they're down a few key players.
>>1258208
>If flavour's all you care about then just drink vials of flavour.
Those have almost no nutritional value though.
Lads the quality of football is dire...
>>1258270
Spoke too soon...
>>1258259
Don't look for nutritonal value in crisps, you'll only find sadness and heart disease
>>1258270
Football is stuck in a rut at the moment. Tipperary were the only interesting thing about last year's championship because their style of play was actually entertaining to watch. That doesn't seem to have carried over into this year's championship though so I think we're set for another boring Summer of Football that I will largely ignore.
>>1258284
That's not my point though - at least they have SOME nutritional value.
>>1258301
Eh at least the hurling is entertaining.
>Mayo score a last second goal
>everyone losing their minds
>leave for a minute
>come back
>Derry's caught back up
>extra time
>>1258337
Aye. This year's Hurling championship is shaping up to be very interesting indeed.
>>1258342
I mean it happened it Tipp against Cork a few weeks ago as well.
After going through my teddies and found Dustin.
This game is a cluster fuck.
>>1258547
Is it still going?
>>1258533
I had a Dustin teddy that used to talk of it's own accord. What it said is forever etched into my mind. I have so many just taking up space. I should give them to a charity shop.
>>1258597
What did it say?
>>1258597
Mine talked too, I'm after taking the 20 year old batteries out of him.
>What it said is forever etched into my mind
Mine burped, laughed very loudly and said something about Socky and Snotzer. Think there were more but that's all I remember at least.
Was yours the same?
>>1258654
>Mine talked too, I'm after taking the 20 year old batteries out of him.
Read that as if you were saying that he continued to talk after you took the batteries out.
>>1258681
Like other talking toys he had a tendency to talk in the middle of night for no reason.
>11 point win
Never in doubt
>>1258654
Surely it said "go on ya good thing", it was his catchphrase after all.
>>1258828
>He taught me that even if someone is of a much higher political rank than you, that doesn't mean they don't have smelly feet.
Don't forget Mary Robinson and her hairy legs.
>>1258842
Did he say something about her legs as well?
>>1258861
I never remember the smelly feet comment, but I do remember the hair legs gag he had going for a while.
>>1258790
He pushed his "Dublin vs culchies" shtick an awful lot for a childrens show especially when the Leitrim fellow took over.
I remember loving it when some country kid phoned in for a competition told him to enjoy sitting in traffic all day.
Also he supported Man Utd instead of a local team.
>>1258881
>Also he supported Man Utd
I liked that one Halloween special revealed the worst punishment he could ever endure was being forced to wear an Arsenal jersey.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxnrHHp-j7s
This is the pinnacle of Irish music and culture. I owned two of his CD's, wish I had the Christmas one.
>Westmeath has a bypass
>Laois is a prison
>Cavan's potholes the size of lakes
>Leitrim's a mistake
Oh fuck I forgot these lyrics. The Leitrim line alone is better than anything that's come out of RTÉ in 10 years.
>>1258929
>westmeath has a bypass
>laois is a prison
>leitrims a mistake

I made my first OC in weeks: >>>/int/76701277
What is Ireland like? Does anyone speak Irish?
