Serial Experiments Lain is a really pretentious show. Kino No Tabi is much better.
The Suicide scene in the first episode is really memorable to me though.

Oh, no doubt, Kino is wonderful.
A chill show that provides some food for thought, about life, in just about every episode. I know its taboo to think this, but I honestly wouldn't mind it if they made a few more.

Kino's different because it's episodic. It never really ended in a story sense. She could theoretically go to a ton of more countries but it's probably really difficult to come across a compelling idea worthy of the show, which would more be the reason I think we won't see much more of it.

Poppy was an interesting project. Supposedly it was some sort of Satire about the pop music industry, as the "show" itself had begun to embark on some sort of "religious" or memetic project towards its end. I would think that Lain fans would like it.
