The whole movie was shit and after a while I zoned out.
The clown is a metaphor for fear so it loves when its feared and it practically gets off on it but to me seems like a metaphor deeper than fear. the movie actually paid a lot of homage to the book in my opinion, and to understand the movie in its entirety reading the book is preferable. i don't say necessary because they did wrap up and explain a few things critical to the plot without knowledge of the books contents being critical, the movie itself is a 6/10 in my opinion, but an 8/10 with book knowledge.
