But I'd like to add the flipside of that too. You have people like Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton who skyrocketed to stardom because of making a fucktape. So some of these girls try and fail to do the same because they see it as an easy path.

Not Disney related but a good example of this was the first season of the reality show 'Survivor' there was a lady on there named Jenna Lewis who was dubbed "The Cute One" and got a bit of fame because she was slightly attractive.

Once the show ended she started doing publicity rounds and quickly fell off the radar because she had no talent whatsoever in the show business world. She did a couple of acting gigs but didn't get much work. That year the Paris Hilton sex tape scandal came out and Paris started getting tons of work. Then the Kim Kardashian one. Suddenly Jenna randomly released a press release condemning the people who uploaded her honeymoon sextape on the internet. No one even knew it was out there until she said something. Later on it was traced back to her IP as the source of the leak. She tried to capitalize on it as much as possible but really has faded into obscurity.

She'll pop up every once in a while to everyone's "Who is that?" reaction.

The shows and acting are mediocre and have a lifespan of maybe 5 years tops before they age out. Disney's strategy with these shows is to capture tweens as they get too old for Mickey Mouse bullshit cartoons (yes, you see what I did there), and then they toss them out and start a new show with new young kids.

The resulting impact on the actors is that they have a resume that says "I was a child actor on an average show. I'm probably pretty, may even have performing talent, but really it's shit work."

Which means they struggle to get roles as an adult. Where adult means about ten seconds after they get too old for Disney.

This isn't uncommon for child actors.

At which point the guys tend to fade into obscurity because they are guys.

The girls tend to take "edgy" roles to prove they are adults and can act.

Invariably this all means "They get naked and do drugs" because Disney's fucked their shit right up.

They have no sense of reality, were famous on a stupidly insane level with 10 - 15 year olds, and then suddenly nobody gives a shit about them. Nobody.

Except drug dealers, etc.

Yes, some make it out of the Disney crazy and do OK, but most either fade away quietly (the sane ones who are stable), or turn into this shit (the ones who thought their fame was real and not manufactured).

It's the same reason kids cartoons churn every five years or so on that channel. They need something "new" to sell the fuck out of and the last new thing is now old (audience starting to age out).

Disney is the master of marketing. They don't give two fucks about the kids.
