>>745128362

>>745128437
haven't seen it, just started the download
>>745128488
It's about a kid who gets a preview of how his life will turn out depending on the choices he makes. This plot isn't convoluted at all.
>>745128417
didnt watch it, but Lem IS god tier. go read a book
>>745128631
It's not a good movie either.
>>745126345

>>745128488
What you got ain't nothin' new. This country's hard on people. You can't stop what's coming. It ain't all waiting on you. That's vanity...
the ole chop-chop
>>745126827
Nataloli Portman as a hooker/10
>>745130333
The movie leaves out the last chapter of the novel, which is the conclusion.
It's a good movie, excellently made, but it doesn't do the novel justice.
Viddy the book brother.
>>745130333
thats a sexy poster, havent seen this version yet
good, but book is as usual batter
>>745126345
hell yeah. even enjoyed the sequel
>>745130797
That's been on TV a few times over the last few months and I always intended to be sat down ready for it. And I've missed it every time.
It's on my list, though.
>>745126569
lmao what a shitshow this movie is. it's not terrible but the content is fucking whacky
>>745128437
lmao yesssss. that and Palindromes will really throw you through a loop. "I wanna fuck you so hard you cum out your ears!"
>>745129055

>>745130894
you'll like it
>>745131067
Haven't seen it, if you remember the name, do post it m8. But yeah, Mann's work is top tier in my eyes
>>745124624

>>745132065

>>745132065
A bit overrated but a good movie.
>>745124624
Is that the one where jake juggleballs thinks he has a doppelgänger? If yes then worst movie ever made.
Gene Hackman at his best.
If you havent seen this theres no point living really
For the anons that like older movies..
>>745132347
Even if you have there's still no point.
Great action sequences.
>>745125171
I literally fell asleep at the movie theater, which hardly ever do.
>>745125171
Ten times better movie and soundtrack
Epic car chase scenes and action sequences.
I don't even like tom cruise but I enjoyed this, I swear that tom has it in his contract that he gets at least one scene per movie where he's riding a motorcycle and wearing his favourite leather jacket.
>>745132638
20 times better movie, 3 times better sound track. Let's be realistic.
>>745132729
Yeah great movie, not god tier, Groundhogs Day is better
>>745132778
Groundhog Day is a mindfuck when you realize he was reliving same day for around 30ish years or so.
>>745132831
What a shit movie. interesting premise destroyed by garbage pacing and a mediocre climax.
>He's lost! He has nothing to say!
>>745132901
>pinpointed the exact number of Groundhog Days Murray’s Phil Connors endures in “Groundhog Day:” 12,403 days. That’s 33 years and 358 days, well above director Harold Ramis’ original on-record guess of about ten years, but right in the range he later gave after further consideration, which was between 30 and 40 years.
I did not know this, cool news.
>>745132906
Biggest plot hole in it is why the train had to keep circling, engines can run without having to move the train and way less dangerous. (No more worrying about ice blocking tracks)
another god tier movie
>>745133084
My fave the best sound track too, you are wise
>>745133355
If you want to sing out, sing out.
Very strange premise that makes for a surprisingly good movie.
A serbian film
>>745133714
Great pick anon, one of my all-time favorite documentaries.
>>745128417
God tier. My favorite of Tarkowski. All the other stuff except Nostalgia didn't do much for me. The thing about this one is that the symbolism and the plot actually blended so fucking smoothly. You can take the whole intellectual side of Tarkowski from the script and the plot and the visuals(like certain bits, especially from the first half of the film) and its still a god tier sci-fi movie in space, and without any aliens. I read shit load of stuff and theories after I watched it, fucking amazing.
>>745128437
masterpiece
this one
>>745129753
this
>>745133860
Nostalgia didn't win me over on first viewing either, perhaps because it has less 'razzle dazzle' than his other epics. Give it another viewing though and maybe you'll be fortunate as I was.
>>745132347
as I was watching that movie I got the feeling that the guy wrote and directed this was trying to do, catch something but couldn't do it. The whole thing seemed like an attempt. Then I watched the interviews of the director and I was almost sure that was the case, dude's more empty than a crash can.Movie was still a different experience though, which is always good.
This is a great movie!
>>745134054
>Ahapen Pybaeb
What's this, made by retards?
>>745134054
>didn't win me over on first viewing either, perhaps because it has less 'razzle dazzle' than his other epics.
ironically enough, thats almost how I felt about Andrei Rublev too. Each to his own.

>>745133746
The soundtrack in this movie is really nice
>>745134331
>>745134405
>>745134458
>>745134485
Greatest series of all time, you can't deny /b/
>>745134652
Damn that was hard to watch, way to real
>>745127823
Peter Greenway is weird as fuck. The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover is also really good, and the soundtrack is sublime.
>>745128437
Tod Solondz is one of my favorite directors, and this is his best film.
>>745124624
Pretty solid art film, but the ambiguity did get on my nerves after a while.
>>745126345
Cronenberg's films have an intoxicating quality about them that I can't quite put into words. I think he's THE most underrated auteur.
>>745128417
Tarkovsky is one of the few poets of cinema
>>745128437
One of the funniest films I've ever seen. I've never been completely disappointed by one of Solondz films.
>>745130333
Not the Kubrick I'd pick, but pretty much any of his films would fit into a god-tier thread.
>>745131902
David Fincher is just kinda solid. I have a lot of respect for the guy, but he tends to make fairly anodyne films.
>>745132131
This film is every bit as immense as anything from Shakespeare
>inb4 he's just repackaging themes blah blah
>>745132347
It wasn't bad. Too heavy on style and light on substance tho. It was like a long ass music video with a narrative.
>>745133804
Best Nicholas Ray and best Bogart in one.
>>745133984
I really wish Italians hadn't been so utterly terrible at dubbing, but it's an incredible film.
>>745134054
Might be my favorite Tarkovsky
Here's one I've never seen posted...
>>745133511
Not sure if I "got" it. It was an interesting watch, though.
Classic slasher, very underated but damn good
>>745134744
Not bad, but overrated.
>>745134065
had a very similar reaction. and I really wanted to like the film and the characters. The ending was just dumb. Driving away and leaving the money after getting stabbed ... meh
>>745134941
>This film is every bit as immense as anything from Shakespeare
>>inb4 he's just repackaging themes blah blah
It's not just about the themes. Kurosawa is god tier himself.

>>745135123
Oh hell fucking yeah.
>>745135336
I've actually seen this video. Great stuff.
>>745124624
just watched this because nothing else to do at 6 AM
>i don't understand ANYTHING that happened in this movie
>>745135397
>>745135123
My personal favorite
>>745135638
excellent choices all
>>745135710
That reminded me of this Bogarde film...
It's surprisingly obscure, and if you haven't already seen it, I would highly recommend.
>>745135876
Joseph Losey is consistently god-tier.
>>745135926
That movie was so fucking stupid
>>745132472
good to this day, first of its time
>>745135525
nevermind i watched someone explain it on youtube
7/10
>>745133097
the train moving provided water when it ran over the ice and it kept passengers from ever leaving and supporting the upper class
Bad ass movie right here
>>745135876
yeah that's a great movie. I love the dark undertone and Bogarde's performance is stellar
>>745133664
i remember this vhs box in my grandparents movie collection , is this the one where hes a truck driver or is that the guy from ghost and its about a dog too
>>745124624
>>745125938
I didn't have a clue about the existence of this movie, thanks Bro
I'm going to post some of rare gems
This one first
>>745134146
this
>>745136331
It's one of my all-times. The solitude and isolation, the psychosexual elements, the comfy jazz music... and yes, the dark, brooding vibes.
>>745135178
exactly.
>>745136200
There's a really good article explaning everything on a blog you can find it pretty easily I guess. It's a good read, adds to the movie.
>>745136112
It was a tarantino-on-streoids kinda movie. I personnaly like movies like that. We need "fuck it I'm gonna fall asleep anyway" movies too.
also see poster, one of my favorites.
