A philosophy exam is coming up on Friday and I'm not prepared for it. I haven't missed a class, I've done the quizzes (which I did well on) and I've studied the reading material but it's just not sticking for some reason. The arguments are very subtle and the explanations are extremely cryptic, atleast I find them to be. I enjoy fiction, so I'm trying to imagine the authors speaking to me instead of just reading it like a textbook which has helped me tremendously. However, I'm simply not understanding it like I should be. The "study questions" at the end of the passage are insanely hard and require much, much thought in how to answer them. What's worse is that I have no idea if I'm right or not, so I'm wondering why I even bother with them.

My professor has told us that we have four exams this semester, and he's only going to factor in the percentage for our best three scores. He'll disregard the lowest graded exam, which is good, but I don't want to use that up for being retarded for not understanding.

Maybe I'm making too big of a deal out of this? Anyhow, thanks for listening OP. Just root for me on Friday if you want to.

What fun is there in being a non-degenerate? Started back on my anti-depressents on Monday, quit smoking the same day (haven't cheated on it at all), and I'm out of weed.

I've never felt more miserable, bored and tired. So I was talking to my friend Moss the other day and the guy says he knows pretty much everything there is to know about sandwiches. I called bullshit. You can't just put something between two pieces of bread and claim it's a sandwich! I asked him, "does that make a loaf of bread a bread sandwich?" The guy said technically yes but it's "all about how you hold it." The guy had this weird crab stuff of some sort and I said, "you could put that between a couple of pieces of bread but it still wouldn't be a sandwich." He asked me what I'd call it. Frankly, it's just disgusting.

So the question is...what qualifies as a sandwich and what doesn't?
