Yeah i served and it was chill as fuck, went to Afghanistan once, East Timor twice and literally sat on my ass drinking beer for the most part.

You know that one kid at your school that told bullshit stories and lies all the time to make themselves seem cool? Its like they grouped all those people into one place and its called the US military.

Still serving, but on my way out. All I did was go to central Africa for 9 months. Never saw Afghanistan or Iraq. Pretty boring life, Just work on equipment and collect that government pay check.

Service is 9 months over here. I was enlisted in July of 2015 in the special forces (land division).

It was a very interesting experience. I learnt a lot and I trained quite a lot too. It was hard due to limited sleeping schedule (3-5 hours max, most of the time).

I was actually accepted 3 months ago as a professional soldier trainee with a contract and all. I'm now aiming to be deployed somewhere.

Yeah, I got to BMT, ran around in circles around the base, knee swelled because I fell on the stairs, TI noticed and told me to go to Reid, saw the doctor, he questioned me and I tear up because I thought I was getting kicked out because I had knee surgery and have obvious scars, and tell him the whole story, he recommends I see BAS and recommends me for separation and I go to Med hell, I then fend off rapists with a razor blade I taped to a toothbrush handle while I waited 2 months to get shipped home.
