ok, if you have lost partitions or everything. you could try this program:

http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk

it will allow you to recover your hard disk's data and undelete files. this works on hard drives, thumb drives and memory cards.

oh, and if you do run this program, don't recover onto the same drive you're trying to salvage.. otherwise you'll never get anything back :)
