It's still true today. PC systems are based on the assumption that everything has just a simple X,Y pixel value. Mac utilizes the full XYZS vector system. Yes, PC version of Photoshop has all the same features the Mac version has, I'm not saying it doesn't. What I'm saying is that because the vector system is native on a mac, it takes less time to process that information than it does on a PC. It depends on the complexity of what you're doing. For shit in Photoshop, the Z value of the vector is pretty much always zero, because you're designing a flat image. So processing speeds are pretty much the same. It's when you get into 3d rendering that there's a noticeable difference. Using Maya on a Mac, versus using Maya on a PC. Let's say you've designed a 3d scene that contains... oh... I'm gonna lowball it and say it has 2 million triangles in the final render. On a PC, that render might take 10 minutes (depending on how good your shit is), versus on a Mac, using native support for the full XYZS system, it'd take only 6 minutes with comparable hardware. The more complex the graphics you're rendering, the more sizeable the difference.

Apple is literal cancer. All or almost all their products are overpriced as fuck, and so is servicing them if you want to fix your product rather than buying a new one. Take any Iphone or Macbook or the likes, and compare it to a non-apple product that costs 20-30% less, and you will find that the cheaper product beats it at almost all categories as well as price. It's ridiculous. Take the new Iphone 7 for example. Here in Norway the 32 GB version costs 823 dollars. Let's compare it to the 64 GB version of the Huawei P10, which costs 652 dollars. The P10 wins in: Double storage space, double sim card slots, better charging cable, better pixels per inch, bigger resolution, bigger screen, supports fast charging, one more camera, better front facing camera, compatible with SD cards, double the RAM, more cores in the processor, more GHz per core, and almost double the mAh. You know what the Iphone 7 wins out on? It's slightly water resistant (but not waterproof) and it weighs 7 grams less. Anyone who buys Apple products is retarded.

Who has the better operating system is completely opinion based. In my opinion the ability to customize without jailbreak and downloading apk files is pretty darn neat, but even if you do think the os is that much better, it shouldn't be worth 180$+ all the other features you miss out on by choosing the apple. 32 GB storage? Almost double battery life? Double the RAM? A better processor, and better cameras? Also you can install laun chers and make your user experience perfect for exactly you. Apple still has the system of not being able to put the app icons anywhere you want, but stack them at the top... Don't see how the user experience is so much better.

The iPhone started out a decade ago as a bare minimum functionality cellphone with iPod, calculator, and text editor functionality built in, and every major OS update brings a big leap of functionality and all that functionality requires more hardware resources. So you can either not update your phone and keep it running as easily as the software made for it, or, continually update its software and big it down. Same problem every computer has had since the dawn of software.

It's great dude. You really get alot for the price. Has alot of good features that aren't meme features like "Durr sport mode in the camera app!!" Which I fell for back when S4 came out. The fingerprint sensor is lightning fast, and you can use it as a homebutton/back/task manager button if you want to, or use the regular android setup with small buttons on the botton of the screen. Camera is fantaatic too, since it takes two pictures and puts them together for the best quality possible. Very nice phone, highly recommended
