I had a weird experience at that "level" on which I was under 21 when I moved out, but got to be good friends with the people at my local liquor store in chicago. They thought I was 21 for some reason and liked me enough that I would smoke cigs in back every night while talking with them, and they would give me discounts on everything. I think that may have had a very significant impact on the current state of my drinking. You should set a limit for yourself, and this comes from a true place of love, not trying to look down or condescend by any means, you don't want to end up like I have.

To be honest though, both of those have come for me at this point, and I have yet to change my behavior. I think I realized the extent of my problem when I bought a 30 rack to keep me going through the week and ended up drinking 24 of them totally without intention to do so, just because I had a free day and couldn't be alone with my own thoughts. Bartender here. If she ain't giving you the vibe after the first drink, it's a waste. I've seen so many dudes take a girl out to my bar and spend the entire night selling themselves to her, when she already made her decision when she walked in the door.

Protip: If she's cold, just break it off early to hang out w/ the m8s. She'll be hurt at first, but she'll be jealous of your usage of time and will 1) try to be mean to you 2) apologize 3) attempt to reconnect with a better opinion of you. It works m8.

Well, it usually starts off with a 6 pack of 16oz beers. I tell myself, ok I'll drink these and that's it. Never works. I just drive buzzed to the store and buy more. Once it hits your lips~ ya done!!

And you're right, shock didn't help me. I was caught in my car behind my house (after 13 beers) smoking weed by 5 cops. That was two weeks ago, I'm drunk still.

Why are we all suffering? It wasn't supposed to be this way. When we were born our parents put every hope they had into us, that we wouldn't fall victim to the pain they'd felt, and yet we have. And here we are, drunk on an anonymous forum in the middle of the night. We all once felt alive, felt the spark of life, and now we try to drown it out. Welcome to the 21st century.
