Word of advice though.. depression can be an addiction. I've learned this through experience as someone who's "Clinically Depressed"(quotes because I don't really believe it to be an actual diagnosis lol), you can find yourself in a rut for a bit, and that's fine.. but the more you feed the darker parts of yourself, the more you will continue to do so. There's a bitter sweetness in feeling depressed that I don't need to explain to anyone that's experienced it.

It's partly addiction for sure, but what i noticed is that it's a huge change in your life too. You're routine is totally will different now unfortunately. Sometimes it feels like your life is unrecognizable because you'll slowly realize all the things you'd do, that made up a good portion of your day was revolving around the relation ship. The biggest one that always got me was waking up, rolling over and no more bae to kiss and say good morning too. I'm glad you're optimistic though. It's nice know there's a light at the end of the so called tunnel, even if you can't see it.

You have to replace the old habits with new ones. get into new games, or interestes. Learn a new language, or a new skill. Music is a great outlet, learn a new instrument. I've been dealing with my depression for over a decade now with guitar... it gets everything out really well.
