Protips on beards: Stop using shampoo and conditioner on them. Stop using them on your head too, but that's another thread. That shit is harsh and strips your hair of natural oils. The oil coat the hairs which creates a water barrier. This keeps them from drying out and becoming brittle. You should be essential oils in your hair daily. Use a soft bristle brush often to train the hairs down.

i used to have dermatitis pretty bad. beards only made it worse cause i couldnt exfoliate or keep my skin clean as well. it literally caused it to spread from a few localized spots to all over my face and scalp. having dried chunks of skin and whatnot hanging in your facial hair all the time really detracts away from any of the perceived positives you feel correlate with growing a beard.
