first let me say GoT is great

The fact that this series is watched by a large majority of normies and geeks doesn't make it necessarily bad. It's a pretty good show, one of the bests out there in this very moment cause it surpass all "good attributes" in the writing aspect: people empathise with any character (regardless of what they aim for) and the plot is not just fueled by poetic justice or any kind of unnecessary twist/ending(well maybe the multiple deaths all along?). Lots of people shit on the show because is popular but if they wasted their time into analyzing it they'd find out very little flaws . Again, is not the most perfect or the best ever known, even more if we take in place that is targeted to geeks and medieval/magic world (as TLOTR, the Hobbit and eragon which btf fall into aforementioned mistakes) enthusiasts which is a genre that can either be liked by everyone or not. The same goes to the rest of normies series from hbo or other pay channels. (TWD , Breaking Bad, etc)

The series is character driven and has dragons, so I like it. Is it the best show ever? Not by a long shot. I mean, Battlestar Galactica on sci-fi was better IMO. There's breaking bad. Son's of anarchy. And hell, firefly if I'm being a true nerd. All amazing shows in their own rights. No show ticks all the boxes for everyone.

He's real good, and nice too - but I cannot fathom how he keeps signing all those, he was doing this for hours, and it was not a one-off, it seems like it's quite usual.

Good thing is he said he sold the rights to the Cosmere universe (where most of his books happen) for adaptation, so we can expect movies about this, or perhaps a series. I'd love to see an adaptation of Mistborn, Elantris, or possibly The Emperor's Soul.
