Littlefinger and that one dude from the Brotherhood are the only two semi-major people that will die this season. In the next season, Daeny won't die, Jon won't die, they're literally Fire and Ice. Everyone else is still 50/50, although I can't imagine another Stark dying.

Marketing of dramas in America and most of the western world has shown time and time again that fatalist, bad-guy-wins, French-film type endings are very bad for business.

Martin has a chronic heart condition due to his obesity and age. That is influencing the works. He is already showing signs of mellowing. Like I said, Martin's world has fairly decent continuity. Meaning you only ride a dragon if you're a Targ. I'd concede the Jamie point if you didn't throw your credibility away with your other points.

Think about all the times Tywin tells Tyrion "you're no son of mine" and the fact that Tyrion has two different color eyes, one violet like Targs do, or how there's tale he was born with a tale, like some Targs were said to.
