Headset for gaming unless you care more about hearing than speaking (to the point you're anally retentive about sound) . Then audiophile headphones with clip on.

If you're not a giant faggot when it comes to sound than sennheiser headsets are the best quality ones. You can pick them up for cheap to moderately expensive. Don't buy headsets made by peripheral makers. (razer, logitec, turtle beach) they are there to look good. But sound like shit.

The HyperX Cloud 2's have a really good build quality and amazing sound. I've had mine for almost 2 years and it's damn near new condition. It has surround sound as well.

I've used IEMs for a few months now.

Headsets are always overpriced when you consider the audio quality, and microphone quality, you really overpay and get low quality.

Get a good pair of headphones where you can replace the audio cable if needed, and then get a USB microphone.
