No one cares. Trump's approval rating's are in the shitter because the only people that care about his approval rating are the ones that are pushing it down.

I'm not even a Trump voter, and I can see the extreme bias from shills, marketers, large and small media, insignificant college students, and people who just cant let the election go.

Please though, Push Trump out of office and let Mike "Put gays in the chair" Pence be president.

Hes a disaster to be sure but the people who wanted Trump to be elected really did not know what they wanted. He was different and thats all that mattered.

Tbh hes really revitalized my trust in the political system like if the system was rigged he never woulda became president and his whole "try to be a dictator in a democratic country" is getting him torn apart his bills are getting shot down by the legislative his executive orders are getting hit by judges. As a country we dont necessarily agree on many issues but I think everyone can agree hes doing a shit job.

I mean objectively he is doing poorly and most people do recognize it.

>>
I believe if he'd listen to Bannon and stop listening to mainline republicans like Preibus and Paul Ryan he'd be much more successful and popular. He's trying to please too many people. He needs to just stick to his campaign promises.

Unfortunately no matter what he does though he will have the entire government working against him, including his own party. I don't know how anyone can be expected to succeed with that kind of opposition. Honestly the country would be better off if the house and senate were dissolved.

>>
I'm kind of torn - on one hand, I am enjoying the deadlock of the government grinding and doing nothing but sowing discord amongst everyone so they can see first hand how fucking wasteful and useless it really is.
On the other hand, I think some of his legislative bills would be great for the US if liberal judges would stop being butthurt by everything he's pushing - and I don't even like the guy. Didn't vote for him, and think he should be stripped of his stupid twitter account.
But limiting unskilled immigrants is exactly what Canada does - you have to prove you'd be a good addition to their country plus have useful skills, as well as an established work history within the country before they will consider allow you to immigrate.
Not a single fucking one of you leftist cocksuckers complained about their immigration policy when you fucktards were claiming you're going to move there is he won.

Mock that all you like but they would have held enough power to do pretty much anything they want and damn sure would have abused it in spectacular fashion. Traditional politicians are the corrupt ingrained system that lead to where we are now - widespread NSA spying on us, corporations essentially run the show because of bribes and backroom deals with puppet politicians on their payroll, lifelong entrenchment by these fucking parasites who lie, cheat, murder and steal to keep their power once elected -
All
Of
Them
All of them are worthless pieces of human shit and not worthy of their job. Our elected officials are supposed to be our voices, our servants. They are supposed to work on our behalf, not so they can make the government stronger and their pockets fuller.
I blame the citizens too for keeping it that way. They take their free handouts and tax breaks like it is some sort of candy that they deserve, and they keep these cocksuckers in power as long as they get their freebies - which aren't free.
People have forgotten what our government was supposed to be - an extension of us, not its own self inflating entity that it is now.
So let it finally falter and die - get rid of the assholes who keep it status quo, and keep the upheaval going even if it means nothing gets done - it will force people to learn to do for themselves or do without. I think people should not rely on the government if they are able bodied - get off your fucking asses and learn a skill. Take some fucking pride in learning a trade and fucking do it. Get paid for your time and effort, not expect fucking handouts from on high.

So what you're saying is he could wave his hand and pass something like maybe even a simple Obamacare repeal?

The dems already hate him because he's not Hillary and the GOP is not exactly keen on his antics either. His crazy behavior isn't exactly unifying the GOP. They're not going to do whatever he wants. Had Hillary won and the dems taken congress she'd have a blank check as all but a few of her party's members would undoubtedly have bowed to her whim.
>>
>>741252297
When you choose to ask one area of disgruntled leftists if they think the president is doing a good job, you set it up for low approval ratings.
Same thing if you have an internet poll for voting - republicans work, so they don't play on Facebook all day taking polls, because you know, actually working.
And if you think polls online can't be controlled - MARBLECAKES.
>>
>>741252635
Not to mention zero media scrutiny because woman. Hillary would have been by far the worst possible outcome.
>>
>>741246834
I voted republican down the ballot because I'm not a minority. I'm an Eisenhower republican more concerned with fiscal conservatism and efficient governance than lambasting mmuh regulations and morality-based governance. I can't say I was too excited about trump, I thought jeb would do the best job, memes aside, because he'd bring in a tested team of competent people he would listen to. I thought trump acted like a cunt to him and rubio, neither of those two deserved the lambasting. Winning was a miracle though so I pushed aside my doubts.

Half a year in, I feel pretty annoyed with how little the Republicans have managed to get done. No infrastructure plan, no healthcare plan, it only looks like the tax cut for record-setting-profits corporations might have a chance to pass, which makes you wonder how they'll be able to even budget infrastructure of healthcare reform once they reduce federal revenue further (apparently Obamacare started being budget-positive and bringing in more revenue than costs, so getting rid of it and working to undermine it doesn't make much sense anymore). I think unless we enact huge campaign finance reforms to limit Institutionalized corruption (lobbying) in our elective system, this legislative paralysis will only get worse year by year, especially in our party.

The president isn't exempt from blame in this sorry state of inaction. He seems more interested in picking fights with his advisors and legislators than governing. I hate to say it, but hes competely incompetent. It might not be so bad if he would lean on his secretaries and advisors for guidance for the lack of expedience. It's hard to pretend that's happening. I hope things change for the better soon or we'll lose the presidency and senate in 2018.

>>741252683
So Trump's approval rating, according to any source you like, isn't shit?
>>
>>741250682

My good sir, the problem with this, though your overall point has merit, is that Trump is more corrupt than Clinton as is the entire Republican party. This is in no way a defense of Democrats btw.

Trump is balls-deep in every shady activity imaginable and is objectively a detriment to everything he touches. He literally has done nothing his entire life but scam, swindle, lie, and make back-alley deals. He is a crook as bad as any you've ever seen.

But I agree with some of the anons here that he has shaken shit up and have restored some faith in democracy in that even his own supposed party and supporters are turning on him. He is a valuable cautionary tale as well.

Ironically, I think deep down he does have some ok ideas and is not simply an evil son of a bitch to the core as a person and he has some redeeming features. I can't to see the executive orders and legislation he goes wild with on his way out of office. Like when G.W. pissed on his own fossil fuel/pro-pollution masters and signed off on the largest oceanic nature preserve in the world on his way out the door once he didn't have to kiss donor and party ass. Trump will shit in red state's mouths once he doesn't actually have to care (and right now, he cares a lot).

That is the genuine state of the Republican Party. The only reason Trump got elected was he was outside that and they all treated him as an outsider. Now we see how fractioned the Republican party really is and their actual dysfunction.

The Democrats are also in real danger of this too.

Democrats are paralyzed on common sense reforms as well, they huge donations from many of the same huge donors and special interests, who want to hedge their bets by buying off the opponents too. There's no reason tax loopholes are keeping over 2 trillion in taxes out of reach overseas, while the people gaming the system are pumping billions of dollars into our election system to enact legislation reducing their tax rate even further. Its currently set at 35% afaik, but on average companies pay half this rate. Many hugely profitable corportations pay a zero percent effective tax rate.

Meanwhile, middle class Americans are paying a proportionally larger share of the annual tax revenue than ever before, while experiencing a 50-year stagnation in wages and purchasing power. There's common-sense fixes to this problem. We have a consumer-driven domestic economy. Imagine what anot unprecedented boost the economy would experience if people had a surge in purchasing power. It's time for government to represent the interests of the middle class again. Not the poor, and not the rich. This is the best way to encourage a revival and re-expansion of the middle class

Problem is that only something like 25% of the country wants it gone. It's been in the system for nearly a decade and people have figured out they like health care.

GOP should have just removed the mandate for individuals, shored up the markets a bit, and renamed it. They would have scored easy points. Now it's too far gone. Anything removing big pieces and it's going to be hugely unpopular.
>>
>>741253841
Actually pretty true, Chuck Schumer hinted last week to reporters that he was looking forward to working with republicans on ((((tax reform)))). Democrats are historically more in favor of a progressive tax structure (tax the rich more in general terms) and have been opposing republicans on cutting traces on the wealthy pretty consistently for many decades. However, Democrats are on the rocks now, and might be looking to hold onto donor bux to keep them alive and floating in money. They're looking to make a big 2018 push to win back seats in time for tee redistricting, but I doubt they'll take the house majority, no matter how much disapproval trump gets in the public opinion

Trump is evidence that politics in America have ground zero. It's absolutely a aesthetic Mobius strip that generates "issues" that are simple enough for public consumption.

That being said, Trump winning is the Democrats fault. They were stupid enough to run a candidate with tons of baggage and obligations. To think Hilary would win on her own inertia was beyond naive.

Clinton couldn't even take strong views on any issues aesthetically. She had so many political obligations she came off as absolute vanilla. Healthcare, Syria, Marijuana; Clinton made it abundantly clear she was going to follow the current political trajectory.

Clinton was nothing to be excited about. Despite media suggesting otherwise, she failed to mobilize her own voters and gave the Republicans an easy opponent to mobilize against.

That being said, the Dems are already planning to btfo Trump. The whole Russia shit fest isn't meant to do anything now. It's just meant to give him tons of trouble when he runs again. If he's elected again, it will be hugely questionable.

I think a country being mighty should be based on several factors. Education, health (wellness), military might, strength of leadership, literacy (U.S. is nowhere near #1 here), strength of currency, etc

Yes the U.S.A. spends the most on it's military, but boots on the ground is the old way of fighting.
